He's had the exact same number of winning seasons as Alex.

I am not so sure about that. Rodgers throws the most TDs and least INTs. That is a hard combination to beat in a "shootout" situation.

TDs
Rodgers = 1 TD per 13 attempts
Manning = 1 TD per 13.9 attempts
Brady = 1 TD per 16.6 attempts
Brees = 1 TD per 18.7 attempts

INTs
Rodgers = 1 INT per 91.6 attempts
Manning = 1 INT per 46.9 attempts
Brady = 1 INT per 66.3 attempts
Brees =1 INT per 39.01 attempts

He is who he is. He will never change. He could make Megatron look pedestrian.

Alex's style of play wins games and benefits a defense

You know man you are way to obvious anymore. You use stats to bash Smith and then use Smiths stats to prop up whatever QB you sucking down this time.

Sorry, i intended to convey that there are a slim pickin' of QBs that stand a chance of gunning it vs him.

32nd ranked defense = 4-12 with Alex.

He only wins when the D shows up.

You dumbass. Even if one were to concede that point, that doesn't make him worse than Cutler!

Cutler has never won without a top 5 defense.

Do you really think Alex has more skill as a QB than Cutler. LMAO

He is literally the same guy he's been all this time. The only difference is the coaching staff decided to smarten up and use that offensive line they'd been investing in so heavily along with Murray, who was criminally underused last season.

I don't have the exact stats but last season the Cowboys ran the ball something ridiculously low like 36% of the time when they had the lead. Anybody that watched could have told you they had a top 5 back in Murray waiting for the opportunity.

In short, the Cowboys just aren't asking Romo to carry the team anymore and now you're seeing how good he was this entire time.

Cutler has a stronger arm.

He also has a weaker brain, is an awful leader, and throws a shit ton of interceptions. Alex had bad luck with OC's, while Jay Cutler IS bad luck for OC's. He gets guys fired and they don't work in the NFL again, just like Faulk said.

I think Cutler has more physical ability than Alex Smith.

As a pragmatic results oriented person, I'd much rather have Alex on my team because he won't go out and lose games with boneheaded grbac style bullshit... though it's kinda like choosing between a hard shit sandwich and a soft shit sandwich. I'd rather have food instead of shit.

For you stupid ones, Alex and Cutler are the shit. I AM NOT AN ALEX SMITH FAN.

Hammock Parties 12-17-2014 08:57 PM

I dunno about "weaker brain." Alex struggles reading defenses. Sure, it doesn't lead to INTs...it just leads to sacks and pointless scrambles.

Got it, got it. So you don't ACTUALLY believe that Alex Smith is better than Cutler. You're just trolling.

I bet the Packers are really happy about Clausen starting this week.
