Defensively they eased up for sure.

I'll agree that their offense didn't seem to change much..

Green Bay blitzed all the way til the end of the game. They were still pressing on occasion too (Maclin 60 yard play for example). Let's not act like the Chiefs went up against nothing, but also understand that they have to prove it over Sunday.

Things are gonna change, I can feel it!

I just finished speaking with a friend that was leaving Minnesota this morning after watching the Green Bay game Monday night.

According to him, "body language" told the entire story on the Chiefs sidelines. He said the Chiefs players looked beat before the game in even started. He said Brodie Croyle got rid of the ball more quickly than Alex Smith and there was zero energy emanating from their sideline.

It sounds to me like this team has lost all faith in Smith and Reid.

I think he meant on defense.

The problem is simple. Smith is playing scared because he gets hit often, and doesn't stay in the pocket and make throws at the right time. If line improves, and Alex mentally gets past that, things change.

Those things are not going to happen.

The line isn't "improving" this year and Alex is not going to change.

Rainbows and unicorns.

If Smith was really playing scared, then he'd throw the ball into tight spots instead of holding onto it every damn time.

Smith isn't playing scared. He just isn't a very good QB.

Man, we all knew year 11 was rough for young QB's coming into this season. I don't know why everyone is coming down so hard on the guy. There's still time to right this ship!

Yup, they've already peaked and are regressing.

That's on Reid, IMO.

We are on pace for giving up the most sacks two years straight. That ruptured spleen was the final nail for AS.

Did you happen to notice the demeanor the players on the sideline? My good friend is pretty good at picking those things up and he's a die hard Chiefs fan as well, so that was shocking for him to see.

If the players look beat before the game begins, that is, once again, on the coaching staff.

What a bummer. I had such high hopes for this season.

You're ignoring the fact that the line is getting exposed because defenses know Alex is flat out scared to throw past his comfort zone.

Blitz and take care of the short stuff and we have absolutely no counter punch.

Alex may be smart, but he doesn't think quickly...if that makes any sense.

He sits back and takes his time looking for someone who is wide open...the moment he smells a defender, he stops looking at the receivers and his eyes go to the rushers and it's over.

I feel like a fool thinking Alex would come out of his shell this year.

The guy is a pussy, he plays like a pussy and will always be a pussy.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET THEM PLAY MURRAY THIS YEAR SO WE KNOW WHAT WE HAVE FOR THE FUTURE...a backup or possibly a good starter.

When (not if) they pull Alex, it's completely pointless to go to Daniel....his contract is up after this year and no way should they give him a starters contract.

Play Murray, give him valuable experience and draft the new starting QB.

Alex is dead to me.

Shut up with this nonsense.

If you can't see that he's scared, you're blind.

They got punched in the mouth by Denver and responded by coming out completely flat 11 days later with an atrocious game plan. They are soft.
