GM's know there is no ****ing way the chiefs go in to next season with Smith.

That's one way of some GM's will do, is to wait out until he gets released, I can see that analogy.

But this is a QB driven league, and there are some teams out there that needs a QB, as I mentioned above. So whoever high bids it, most likely wins out.

kcpasco 01-06-2018 11:55 PM

Hoestlty I hope he DIAF that performance.

Smith was likely going to be released by the 49ers too, but that didn't stop the Chiefs from completing a handshake agreement with them a month before they could actually trade for him.

But there's only one Chiefs.

Someone will trade for him, though. People are being really unrealistic with what they think he's worth, however.

Here’s why. Alex has 1 year left on his contract. Whatever team picks up his contract and in a trade doesn’t have to battle with other teams, also gets to have Alex play on a 1 year deal. If he plays good, and they like him, they extend him. If he plays bad or good, and they don’t like him, they trade him at the end of the year to some loser who would pick him up.

It’s really not that hard to understand why he’s gonna be traded and not released

Holy shit what is objective evaluation of football you say??

Mariota had a shit ton of drops too and they had the same amount of penalties as us. They also turned the ball over twice, including a muffed punt that put us near FG range but Alex couldn't get one first down to get us in better FG range.

Their defense also gave up 21 points to us in the 1st half, putting Mariota in a 21-3 hole with 30 minutes to go. He won the game.

This was a home playoff game vs an average at best team that we were favored to win by more than a touchdown. The QB is supposed to lift the rest of the team and will his team to victory, like Mariota did. Not shit his pants in the 2nd half by throwing for 50 ****ing yards and not leading ONE scoring drive that would've effectively ended the game.

He had a chance to lead a game winning drive AGAIN, and all we needed was a ****ing FG, and he failed AGAIN. 0-4 in the regular season. 0-1 in the playoffs.

This game was supposed to be Alex's reckoning or whatever...and he failed. Against an average at best team and a HORRIBLE pass D.

Secondly if you don’t understand a conversation being had with clay and myself, maybe you shouldn’t join in at all? It’s very simple to catch on to what was being said.

Clay claimed Alex wasted 3 of our teams years because we were super bowl ready, and if not for Alex we would’ve won some bowls. As I clearly stated, unless your name is Tom Brady, this is the same situation with every quarterback in the nfl. I am not sure what’s so hard to understand about that. But then again you saying much shorter careeer 05 to 08. and wayyy more playoff wins, when comparing Ryan/smith and the way more is only 2 more wins,, I can see your just an idiot looking to argue over bird shit.

Ryan is easily a much better qb than Smith. Not even close.

That was Alex's trade value 5 years ago.

He isn't worth more than he was then.

I would consider it a win if they got a single 3rd for him. The guy is going to be 34 and comfortably mediocre.

At least a 2nd and 3rd a lot worse than Alex at QB.

I agree. Getting a first rounder? Not realistic.

Maybe a 2nd rounder with a possible conditional pick 5-7 round.

Maybe a 3rd and 4th. There are different variables that can be worked. But if there are any CP members thinking Alex is worth a first rounder, they're definitely unrealistic.

Gonna be kind of hard to trade a player that isn't under contract any more, no?

kcpasco 01-06-2018 11:58 PM

**** You Alex, get cancer.

cdcox 01-06-2018 11:58 PM

No. I will not watch, because I know the ending. Time to move on.

No shit, Matt Ryan is loads better.

That isn’t what that conversation was about, and therefore you just further proved you’re a ****ing idiot lol.

I would assume they would trade him before having to tag or sign him.

So you are thinking a team trades for Alex for 8 games? Ya ok.

How would they trade him when his contract would be up and he'd be a free agent? That shouldn't be that hard to understand.
