I highly doubt he ever plays again. What team is going to bring THAT baggage on?

Teams brought on Stallsworth.

The Bucs brought on AB and his baggage.

All it takes is for Ruggs to serve his time, be contrite and humble, and sign with the right media darling and the redemption stories will begin.

It won't be the Raiders, though.

Their entire offense just changed. They just lost Tyreek Hill.

Yes and no. His speed definitely needed to be respected and teams had to plan for that but it isn't like the Raiders don't have several mouths to feed. Carr has always spread the ball around. We will see if Greg Olsen can adjust the game plan in other ways but again the success or failure of the Raiders season comes down to their focus. They rallied when Gruden resigned but this one may take more air out of the room. Different vibe. We will see on Sunday

If he's in the hospital with a broken hip that could be a problem for a return to the NFL as well.

The NFL is not the same league now. The internet has made it virtually impossible to hide issues now.

I imagine Ruggs avoids going to jail. Money is still a cure-all for most problems. I bet the league puts him on the Commissioner Exempt List for the rest of this year.

All part of the NFL script, right?

God hates the Raiders...it goes deeper than the NFL string-pullers.

Lovely couple of weeks your team is having...

I'm sure Raider fans refrained from judging Tyreek while the investigation was ongoing.

The same ones who have constantly mouthed off about the Britt Reid incident for the past 9 months.

I'd imagine that Bryan Edwards guy is going to be a lot more involved now.

What a tragedy. Especially in today's day and age, and especially in Vegas, where rideshares are ALWAYS available and cheap.

Dude doesn't even have to deal with rideshare services. NFLPA offers a service to all active players called the Players Transportation Link. All they have to do is call an 800 number and a sedan/SUV picks them up.

This won't be the last time the temptations inside the city of Las Vegas ruins a players life

That's too bad for Ruggs and really awful for the victim

He wouldn't get suspended until after the criminal trial though right? Is there any chance he suits up again this season? I don't remember how fast the NFL moves on DUI cases

I remember there was a cowboy player that killed someone in a DUI, can't remember what happened there

BlackOp 11-02-2021 01:23 PM

I'm going to wait for details/circumstances...it was 3:30 AM...could the other driver have been drunk too?

How drunk was Ruggs...shit-faced or buzzed. Was he driving recklessly... Was he out parting or at a girlfriends house...

It's a very strange accident...in that part of town on essentially vacant streets.

Wouldn't he have had practice this morning...

Being in Vegas has nothing to do with the crash.

Being an idiot does.

The NFL is still the same league as last year.

Antonio Brown has no business being on a team.

Yeah, not like we haven’t heard a rash of shit about either of Andy’s kids, or all the bullshit when Reek was going through shit. Pretty sure Fader fans aren’t ever holier than thou.

The league gives Tom Brady whatever he wants, including help from the Refs in the Super Bowl.

You do you, but my personal goal is to be a substantially better person than your typical Raiders fan.
