Is Warhawk worth $30 or should I wait for it to drop further in the used shops?

I've only played it once, but those who have it say it's a really good game. You can fly planes, harrier type things, man turrets or tanks or jeeps. It's 100% online.

Has anyone played the new Siren yet?

Solid Snake owns all. Not done with it yet, but i play slow a few missions here and there. I dont like playing my missions all at once i feel like i blew 60 bucks for nothing when i do that. hah

NHL2k9 demo is releasing tomorrow. 360 users have to wait another week or 2, as MS takes forever to certify stuff and upload them to their servers.

Hopefully this years NHL2k will knock NHL09 off the pedestal.

This is the earlierst 2k has ever dropped a demo out. They are really confident in this years game. 2KLA/Kush is no more and Visual Concepts took over to build the game from the ground up. VC is responisible for NFL2k5/APF NBA2k and College Hoops games. They are by far the best sports developers out there.

Going to give it a try tomorrow no doubt.

The JRPG's are coming up for the 360 as well. Them damn things are pretty huge. Summer is usually pretty dull anyways. Once the winter gets here and games start coming out, it should be interesting.

Street Fighter Alpha? Seriously? zzzzzz. They should at least attempt to retool these games somewhat rather than just releasing a straight PS1 port. And of course, release more of them.

Completely OWNED someone in HOME checkers yesterday. I' on the beta and hadn't checked it out in a while, so I jumped on and there's a guy in the plaza sitting at a checkers board.
I figured "what the hell" and sat down. It starts playing and after a while I had like ten of his checkers, he had five of mine. I wrapped it up by double jumping his last two.

It was the most awesome and ghey moment at the same time. But you know what, it was challenging and fun.

I am planning to pick up a PS3 to use as a blu ray player in the next few weeks once the new models are released. Is the new 80gb model basically the same as the recent 40gb? Any others being released at the same time?

They're exactly the same other than HDD size.

Sony just announced a new 160gb Uncharted bundle, but thats not coming out until November.

If the only reason you want to buy the more expensive PS3 is because of the larger HDD size, then dont. Buy the Cheaper one for $100 less, and then buy a 250 GB HDD for $100, then you have a 250 GB PS3 for the Price of an 80 (or 160 in the future).

Sign up for a SonyStyle card and they will give to the new 80gb system and a $150 credit after 8 weeks as well as 18 months interest free. BAsically a $249 PS3.

OK, MGS4 is getting on my nerves with this 10 minute cut scenes followed up by another 4 minute cut scene after the load. I didn't mind at first but am about ready to just start skipping them.

Really surprised this got such a high rating. Doesn't even compare to God of War like some say. The shooting setup is extremely flawed as well and the words are almost 2 seconds behind the lip movement which is annoying.

I used this and went to Gamestop to see if there were any used games I wanted. I saw 2 that intrigued me, Uncharted and Rachet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction.

Uncharted was normally $54.99 and Ratchet and Clank $49.99

I used the coupon, and I am a Gamestop Edge member (extra 10% off used games) and I had about $20 credit on my account.

I guess the guy forgot to scan the Ratchet and Clank, or he was just being cool since we were talking for like 10 min. I got both games for a total of $18 out of pocket.

I also picked up Guitar Hero Aerosmith last night at Circuit City. First time I've ever played a Guitar Hero game, and I admit it was fun.

Both of those games were pretty good. Uncharted was great for it's first run. Rachet and Clank with yet another good game.

It will probably be a small roll-out like with trophies. I'd bet it will come out with the basic functions and they will implement more as time goes on.

What is funny all of my friends that hate consoles have them also.. I have learned that they quit playing it after a few months when the novelty wears off and it sits there..

Add me to the list. I've had my PS3 for awhile but have refrained from really playing much online. I used too, but lost interest somewhere along the way. Socom rocked online and that's coming out here in the next couple of months, plus I used to love playing Madden online when I could find a straight game.

I spent a few hours playing SOCOM. All I did was get on foreign servers team-killing people. That alone makes the game worth buying IMO.

I was planning to pick up the Force Unpleased but the reviews are somewhat underwhelming for a $60 game.

Have you pre-ordered Little Big Planet yet?

I have never pre ordered a game. I like to wait for all the personal reviews to come in before I buy anyway. Gears is about the only upcoming game I would buy without waiting for reviews.

You don't have to buy it to pre-order it. Just put $5 down and they hold a copy for you. If you don't want it, you can easily get your $5 back. You usually always get a "perk" for pre-ordering too.

I know. I have yet to see a perk that would make me want to pre order though. I haven't seen a game yet that I couldn't pick up at walmart a week later though. The only game I ever purchased on release day was Halo 3.

Seems fun, but I just cant aim very well to kill those mofo's.

It's a stealth and strategy game. You can't just Rambo around like COD4. Plus, if you are joining assembled clans, there are a lot of organized clans all with headsets and stuff who usually pwn the ad hoc clans. This is like the elite of the elite in shooters online.

The last level is a pain in the friggin ass!

I though it was a good launch game. I would usually agree on the zombie thing, but I was alright with it considering all the mystery surrounding (Mayan/Aztec, can't remember which.) history. Can't wait for a sequel.

The guy at Gamestop was trying to get me to buy something. He had good things to say about Rainbow Six Vegas 2, and Splinter Cell Double Agent. Anyone play these? I've found them online for $30-40. Should I jump on those deals?

No, I haven't played Splinter Cell, but **** Rainbow Six Vegas 2, it sucks. #1 is way better, and I dont really like that one either.

Socom was revolutionary when it hit the scene on PS2. I expect much of the same this time around. Online, you won't find a better game if it matches it's original standard. I've heard Rockband comes out on 10/19.
