hmm, well when we signed him there was a phantom injury as well. This guy is a douchy mystery
|
Sence Dorsey has done something everyday so far. Im guessing Cassell is next and that will be tommorrow.

Winston was a stiff this year... Good riddance.

Remember to most of the fan base they thought the o line sucked. And some people want us to get rid of Albert and draft Joeckel. |

final nail, ZERO chance for Geno at #1

If anything it would be Fisher. RT are athletic and Fisher is just that. |

Dorsey said he has 6-8 players that are in cinsideration for #1. Geno is one of them. |

i'll give you 8:1 odds then, you in? i think a trade down is still quite likely although this move does open the other tackle spot |

AND, AR loves to build up draft picks for future years, my bet is a trade down to around the 10-15 spot and then get some picks in the middle rounds, mix of this and next year |
Remember when we were trying to emulate the patrot way.
Now we are actually doing it the Chiefs way. |

You could get Sean Smith and Dashon Goldson for that price. |

if not, then grab that OT and then there are two bookends who setup the line for the next 6 years |

Ebon Britton is a FA and his old coach Andy Heck is now the OL coach here.
Sure doesn't look like he could stay healthy though. Also Jeff Allen played on a strong side/weak side OL where they flipped their tackles depending on the play. His hand placement to play either side shouldn't be an issue. It woulld also make him an ideal 3rd game day tackle to back up both sides should stevenson win the job |
No one is moving up to the 1 spot via trade, there is nothing to trade for in this draft.

that is the problem, however teams tend to panic buy as the time nears let's hope so... |
Matt Miller @nfldraftscout
It appears that #Chiefs franchise tagged player Branden Albert deleted his twitter account after saying tonight he wouldn't move to RT. |

Right tackles are not #1 overall worthy. Alberts not moving to the right side. In house, free agent, or later round solution. No way first pick.

I very much like where their focus is.

Would be cool. If we could get warmack at some point I'd be happy.
....do not want LT at 1. But if it plays out...oh we'll. Can't imagine Brandon would want to pay RT. |

Same will happen with Dumervil from Denver if he doesn't restructure;) |
I think this has to be a personal thing for the Chiefs. Maybe Hunt was just that pissed off that Winston went after the fans to the media, or maybe they just want to vanquish the bad blood and felt he wasn't good enough to be worth the bad PR.

We franchised the good one and cut the one that had a shit season. Funny how all season long Winston underperforms and acts like a clown and this place kills him. Now he is a good RT again because the CP experts didnt expect him to be cut. Just wow. |
So, are there still people who doubt that Alex ****ing Smith is going to be the QB long term in KC?
Personally, I'm not terribly surprised by this move; Winston was flat out awful last year in pass protection. |
Quote:
Barry Richardson was flat out awful. Eric Winston was above average. |

We have to solve this the right way. No more Barry Richardsons

Donald Stephenson @Don59Wayne
Chiefs fans need to start giving Brandon Albert his respect.. We are blessed with one of the top LT in the league.. Show some appreciation!! |

PFF isnt gospel. Winston was vastly overrated

KC's drafting Joeckel and moving Albert to RT, to become the best T tandem in football... :banghead: |

And just for the record, I think Fisher or Joeckel will be playing RT next season. Albert will be on the left side.
|

IF this were to be true, I have to wonder where the benefit would be. Why manufacture a need on a team with other roster holes.
Albert will walk if this is the case, because he'll want LT money. If he signs his FT, we'll be paying a RT $10 mil + right? |
Quote:
|
I just heard this on the radio so I need someone to confirm.
Didn't Albert say on his twitter account last night shortly before he took it down he's not playing RT? I think he's going to be delt. |
Quote:
Take it for what it's worth, which may be nothing. IF this is what the Chiefs were doing, I don't get it. This is why I think it's BS. Move Albert a guy you just franchised to RT, piss him off, draft an unproven rookie to take his place? Zero sense. Albert is a LT, and a pretty damn good one. Pay him his money, IMO. |
Quote:
|
There's next to no chance Albert is playing anything other than LT next season.
Either for the Chiefs, or the team we deal him to. |
Quote:

I think Brandon Albert is going to be dealt for a high pick as well.
Wouldn't be surprised to see 3 new starting OL next year. |

Sorry if Q, but any chance Jeff Allen get's moved out to RT this year? He was a pretty good LT in college.

Phil Loadholt (sp?) any good?

The Chiefs will probably draft a tackle 1st overall, and that draftee will play RT for his rookie year. At the same time, even if they didn't, Stephenson would be fine at RT. Now, if Albert is dealt, that creates a hole at one tackle position (guaranteeing the other one will be filled by the 1st overall pick), and in that scenario I see Allen's chances at RT improving. |
Quote:
I do like that he's play RT his whole career. I think Albert used (or still does) say that switching from LT to RT and back and forth isn't as easy as some people like to believe. |
You're thinking about Damion McIntosh.
Herm brought him in to play LT, then drafted Albert and put McIntosh at RT. McIntosh bitched about it all year, including to the media. |
Quote:
Anyways, I've always wondered if you're practiced your drops to say the left then asked to do it to the right if it's hard or not. or.... maybe McIntosh was just whining about it and it was his deal. |
First off, to all of you that keep bitching about letting Winston go and having to replace him. He's ****in injured. Injured. I don't care what any site ranks him or how he did last year in run blocking. He's injured. We weren't going to trade him for anything. He's injured.
