Shit came up at work and spent most of the night buried. At least I was able to avoid the score.

I was screaming about pulling Lynn. But, credit where credit is due. He didn't piss down his leg. He got it back together.

Kozma is on fire defensively. He has saved us how many runs? He made one bone headed play and a obvious out but I'll take that over Delcasco.

The Dodgers are not looking to good to get it done this year. They will get many more chances with their $227 MILLION and $8 BILLION TV contract.

Frazod,

Holliday has won 2 post season games for us with the home run. We need some more Holliday rants. Karma demands it.;)

This. No Carpenter going through his spring training during the playoffs, and signs that MCarpenter & Holliday are getting back in form. Bullpen's in much better shape than last year.

The amount of cost-controlled pitchers we have right now is insane. Off the top of my head:

Wacha
Rosenthal
Maness
Martinez
Siegrist
Lynn
Kelly
Miller

That's 75% of the playoff starting rotation, setup man and closer. Wow. That is how a mid-market team can compete.

Cardinals in full blown beast mode right now. I say they take it today. Which (although they replay it) playing at 4pm EST is stupid. Why so early?!

I wouldn't say that exactly, but its working. 4 runs through the first 3 games and they match that in the fifth. Carpenter has looked much better than he did through the NLDS. We need him to be the player he was during the season. Adams was a big reason we made the big run at the end of the year. He had a couple of big games in the NLDS but is 1-15 in the NLCS with no runs or RBIs. If Allen Craig can DH in the WS it will be a huge boost. Beltran carried us through the divisional series and was the offense in game 1. He too has cooled off since.

Pitching is carrying this team.

fine but they're up 3 games to 1 - So 'Beast Mode' is used more loosely in post-season, by me anyhow. ;)

You know, if the Cards can finish em off today they'll win a playoff series in LA before Albert does :D

Pitching is defintely in Beast Mode. It's just not the NLCS, its also the ALCS.

Well they have already managed to play a playoff series in LA before Albert.

Karma for that? Haha, your team has received its fair share of "karma" over the last decade.

8-1 in playoff elimination games since 2011. I don't think you can say we are lucky and karma is on our side.:harumph:

Need to kill them today. A win here and Kershaw coming in game 6 and this can be anybody's series. No repeats of last year.

Swanman 10-16-2013 02:17 PM

Adams is ****ing worthless right now. All we need is contact and we most likely score a run. Please get healthy Allen Craig.

Swanman 10-16-2013 02:22 PM

Of ****ing course. Adams looks like a reerun striking out then Yadi grounds into a double play. It's astounding that the Cards are able to win so many games when they do so few of the little things right at the plate. I guess transcendent pitching makes up for the fugtardery offensively.

O.city 10-16-2013 02:22 PM

We did that same shit against Zito in game 5 last year. Gotta capitalize on those opps.

O.city 10-16-2013 02:23 PM

I don't like hitting Adams 4th right now. At all.
