Yeah I am hoping that more moves are ahead or that callaspo move is almost pointless

I like the deal better after listening to Rany this morning.

Callaspo wasn't valued outside of KC, which Rany doesn't get, because he's 27 and recently developed power, although his BA and OBP have fallen this year. But they got what they could and opened a spot for Moose next year. They didn't want to get to arbitration and pay Callaspo $3 million next year when their 3B of the future is coming up, in that case he would really lose trade value.

O'Sullivan could be put into the rotation and move Davies to the bullpen (possibly costing us less in arbitration next year). They have similar ERAs as starters to this point, and Davies has proven he has the stuff to be a pitcher, but had enough chances as a starter.

I would like davies in the bullpen cause he has the 'stuff' to succeed, hopefully they try it.

I would like Davies on another team. That being said there are quite a few on the major league roster that should not be around past the trade deadline no matter how little we have to get for them.

I'd prefer Bannister on another team before Davies...i'd atleast give davies a bp shot

Does the DDJ injury somehow increase Guillen's trade value?

Supposedly the Rays were pursuing DeJesus.

That would've been a target-rich environment.

Royals Like Jeff Francoeur

The Royals 'like' Jeff Francoeur, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports (via Twitter). The Mets would like to trade Francoeur, and Royals GM Dayton Moore was in the Braves front office when the right-fielder made a name for himself in Atlanta, so the Mets and Royals could become trade partners. About $2MM remains on Francoeur's salary, and that's an obstacle for the Royals, according to Rosenthal.

The 26-year-old told Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork that he wouldn't mind getting traded. Even if he stays in New York for the rest of the season, Francoeur may get a change of scenery this winter, since he's a non-tender candidate. Francoeur has hit .247/.297/.380 this year, though he did post an .836 OPS after the Mets traded for him in 2009.

We've been linked to Francoeur every season for the past 4 years. Who would we give up to get him?

They can have Guillen and Ankiel for all i care. We better not give up a prospect for someone like francoeur.
