Got bored last night, watched X:Men First Class again, didn't realize the same actress that played a young Mystique also played Katniss in HG. Almost through the second book (audiobook). 2 hours left. Oldest daughter wants me to take her back to see Hunger Games for the third time this weekend. Hard to tell her no. Damn fine movie, and I recommend it to any of you that like sci-fi. |

Man that thing was awesome. If you paused the movie too long it would cause it to skip in the same spot. What I mean by this is if you remember the boob jiggling scene in Airplane, well we paused it there and after a while that part of the movie would jiggle back and forth for like 10 seconds. Now that's a lot of boob jiggling. <a href="%3Ciframe%20width=" 420"="" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Chgt9y0Insw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="">"><a href="%3Ciframe%20width=" 420"="" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Chgt9y0Insw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Chgt9y0Insw" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="420"></iframe> |
The Darkest Hour - terrible.
The Babysitter - meh. Some funny parts. |

Watched 'Moneyball' last night & loved it, you dont have to be a huge baseball fan to really appreciate it.
Beane changed the game, plain & simple, but its hard to understand turning down the Red Sox contract, holy cow. I also cant help but wonder why it doesnt seem to be working so good these days, though i read that its partly because pretty much every team is now using the sabermetrics system. Pitt is as good as ever, Hoffman was absolutely nails & Hill was just fine, though i dont see him deserving an academy nod over Hoffman. |
A friend of mine had never seen Red Dawn, so we watched that last night. It was a really underrated movie, especially considering what most high-school-set movies - and the world in general - were like at the time.

It was sidelined for a while while MGM went bankrupt, but I think it's coming out now in the fall. Maybe September? I'm not sure.
Ah, there. Wikipedia says November 2. |

Anyone been to see the Avengers movie yet?
Going to go see the 2D showing later tonight. 3D messes with my head so I'm not seeing that version. |

Apt 143 i just rented on 'On Demand' -- I'm thinking it's going to be horrid
|
Yes APT 143 is totally awful, please don't waste your money on this filth.

Fresh
Food system documentary. Nothing I didn't know already, but I enjoy listening to farmers talk about food. A couple of the farmers featured were in Missouri which reaffirmed that I should be eating the best food available all the time. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy I don't pay much attention to movie awards, but hopefully this was acknowledged for its costume and makeup. A somewhat familiar story line, but it was pieced together in a way that made it seem fresh. |
This looks really good. Affleck's turned things around.

I'm watching The China Syndrome, and anyone not thinking Lemmon was phenomenal can die right in a fire.

on a side note...that "Battleship" movie looks like a steaming turd.
they should make a movie based on the Battle of the Corral Sea, or Battle of Midway. ....and none of that Micheal Bay or Pearl Harbor movie bullshit |
recorded the movie "Duel"...and watching it
gd I love that movie. I have no idea why. I watch it every time it's on. |
and after joining Chiefs Planet, I can't help but think of R8ers when I watch the movie.

Watched Underworld: Awakening last night. Wow, what a steaming pile of dog shit. I don't even know where to begin. The special effects (particularly the Lycans ) were ****ing terrible, a million plot points were brought up and never explained, it was wayyy too short and that ****ed with the pace. I could go on for a while.
Spoiler!
|
I think the Underworld movies should have DIAF after the first two.
I couldn't even finish the most recent one. |
50/50 is a good movie. Very uplifting

Just got done watching "God Bless America", I highly recommend this movie.
|
Rented Captain America, Contraband, and the Divide.
Was realllllllly looking forward forward to the Divide. But it is making weird noises when it spins in my 360. Anyone seen it yet? |
Don't know how to feel about Drive...

I spit on your grave went from one of the most shocking movies ive ever seen to being a cartoony scary movie meant for 14 year olds.
Cant believe how graphic the rape scenes were. Just disgusting. Posted via Mobile Device |
Drive.....damn....i love this movie. Definately had a Michael Mann 1980s feel about it.
Great flick. |
So I exchanged the Divide for another Divide.
it still did the same thing. Whenever I put it into my 360 it makes a low humming noise. I really want to watch this ****ing movie!!! |
Chronicle is a terrible movie. I want my dollar back.
|

Contraband was pretty meh. |
The Grey sucked.
And as ****ed up as some of the scenes were I really enjoyed the Divide. |
saw "The Dictator" last night. It was worth the money for sure. 10x better than "Bruno".
Was scared that the scenes they showed on T.V. were the only ones that would be funny, but that wasn't the case at all. The film got better as the film went on. |

I would like to recommend The Grey but can't.
Didn't like the ending at all. In one scene, one of the guys did a long drawn out speech that he has given up hope and not going on any more. I kept waiting for Liam Neesan's character to say some words of wisdom, but he just stood there speechless. And then a big scene where they could finally get rid of the wolves for good. And then they were right there to meet them! I had to laugh. |
Lord Of Illusions..
I just dunno what Baker was thinking what a POS(the movie of course) |
Act of Valor was pretty good. Not without faults, but the action scenes were pretty damn immersive.
|
Just watched The Divide, without knowing anything about it. Just heard it mentioned here. What a crazy flick. Damn.......

I just wish they would have built it up more, rather it start the way it did. |
Haywire - She wasn't a great actor but is a tiny ass kicking machine. I loved how she just kept at someone like an attack dog. I was entertained.
Young Adult - Not entertained. I thought it would be funny. It wasn't. Tree of Life - WTF was that? |
Anyone like There Will Be Blood or Boogie Nights?
Here's the new film from PT Anderson called The Master. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=9oZDKFoCqAw |
