The RPI projected a 77-76 loss last night which was pretty accurate. That same projection system predicts a 6-1 close to the season which would be really impressive in this league. http://realtimerpi.com/rpi_145_Men.html |
That was the first time that we've played an OT game this season. Frankly, I really liked the way they gutted it out to come back. It got crazy toward the end, with Brannen Greene getting those two buckets in a row then just a horrible turnover.
Wiggins needed to hit that three, but I almost immediately yelled at the TV for him to just pass it right back to Brannen Greene. What I honestly noticed for the first time last night is how Tarik Black is actually kind of short. In the handshake line next to Embiid, you could see that he's clearly 4 or 5 inches shorter. No wonder we had no rim protection. Turner just became a must-have if Embiid goes to the league. Which he should. |
We are #1 in the rpi, 9-2 in the toughest league, and co-favorite in Vegas to win it all. This has been a tremendous season even by our historical measures. Like Dean Smith used to tell Roy "when they stop rushing the court after beating us, then ill worry"

I took a week off and now I'm totally fine. With the trainers, masseuses, and care (and him not being 34 like me), he'll be just fine. |

He could essentially sit for 10 days through the TCU/Tech games. |

I'm willing to wait until March if it will get him back to the way he was in December. |

Obviously different sports, but knee sprains in football generally are a week-to-week deal and players seem to rarely miss more than 1 or 2 games. |

Great timing to get Embiid healthy.
