Any objective analysis of their last three seasons put them in the same category.
As in, mediocre QB, not gonna carry a team, at best game-manager.
Heck, Cassel has a higher passer rating, higher yards per pass, higher percentage of throws over 15 yards.
All in all, Carson has the 'name'.... but cassel has the game.
Well, between THESE two QB's anyways. Granted, when compared to a good QB.... they both fail..... but if Palmer is a franchise QB.... then Cassel is too.
And, we know that isn't true.....
You can look at the stats yourself. You can talk about lack of talent and I will just point to the fact that Cassel hasn't had a bunch of world beaters around him either.
In fact, you can take Matt Cassel, Mark Sanchez AND Carson Palmer, put them in each other's uniforms and on each other's teams... and you would be hard pressed to find much of a difference in talent.
About the only difference is Cassel and Sachez are more athletic.
Palmer has a slightly better arm, but is more prone to mistakes.
They all suck under pressure.
