What are you playing?

Playing Madden and I notice the rubber from the left stick is peeling off. it's only little but it's still bothersome and pretty rattling.

Guess I'm buying those 4.99 biogenick thumb grips at gamestop or what?

Which controller?

I never had this problem with any controller for any console other than the original white 360 (my 360s black controller didn't have this problem either).

I ended up getting some silicone grips at Gamestop.

PS4 controller, hearing it's very common.

Oh great.

By all reports, the PS4 controller is superior to the PS3 controller in every way. I guess this be one where it isn't.

Sony addressed it already. It's happening, but they said it's not common.

They will actually cover it under warranty. May as well check it out, free controller.

Hmmm. Since I am still waiting for a game to play that I really WANT to play, my controllers are not getting used much at all.

Same here Guru. I'll be doing pretty good in March though. Infamous and MGS. Can't wait.

I never cared much for the infamous games but my sons absolutely LOVED them. if the the new MGS is anything like MGS4, I'm sure I will love it.

Google it. All I can say. I read an article about it, that's where my knowledge ends.

Doubtful - they're covering a product flaw under warranty, you shouldn't have to spend a dime to get what you originally bargained for when you paid for the system.

My experience with computers and consumer electronics is that you have to issue an RMA and send them your device AT YOUR EXPENSE. They then inspect the device, determine if it is covered under warranty, and reimburse you for the shipping cost while shipping you a replacement free of charge.

htismaqe 02-01-2014 05:44 PM

I should also add that while it's technically possible they could not honor the warranty and you'd be out the initial shipping cost, I've only had that happen once and I've RMA'd hundreds of items over the years.

In case anyone missed it. It's rumored that Microsoft is willing to give you $100 credit towards an Xbox One if you trade in your PS3.

Not sure if it's started yet or even if it's true. If true, desperate.
