Crap, asking Furcal to go 3-3 is a road too far.

KC_Connection 10-28-2011 07:58 PM

Turns out leaving your season in the hands of Scott Feldman is not such a good idea.

I don't think Fox Trax is super accurate. The 3-1 pitch showed up as middle outside and it was on the black.

I'd trust the Pitch FX tool more.

NJChiefsFan 10-28-2011 07:58 PM

Why is Theriot leading off? Am I the only one that thinks he not only has bad at bats but has way too long of a swing?

I agree. Beyond ESPN I don't trust any of them.

tk13 10-28-2011 08:00 PM

You'll never see a team cheering one of their own players getting hit more than right there.

chefsos 10-28-2011 08:00 PM

What's it so far, 3 BB and 2 HBP? Wow.

Frazod 10-28-2011 08:01 PM

I'll start to relax a bit if we get about 10 more.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-28-2011 08:01 PM

God **** you, Schumaker. You are scum.

Frazod 10-28-2011 08:01 PM

Skip Holliday. 4321

KC_Connection 10-28-2011 08:02 PM

I repeat: Koji Uehara, the reliever with 85 strikeouts to 9 walks this season, is not on the Rangers' WS Roster.

NJChiefsFan 10-28-2011 08:02 PM

Damn. Hit there really would punched the Rangers in the balls.

We have got jabbed more than the other teams. :harumph:

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-28-2011 08:04 PM

We could really, really use a shutdown inning here.

Frazod 10-28-2011 08:05 PM

I assume this will be Carp's last inning with the 9 spot leading off.

The ump has been tight both ways tonight. Based off the other innings, that was indeed a ball.

I'd gladly trade Holliday to Boston for Carl Crawford.

Carpenter got hit pretty good that inning. I'd pull him.

I'd just as soon trade him to somebody in the division so we can finally be the beneficiaries of his shit play. I think he'd make a fine Cub.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-28-2011 08:08 PM

Holliday's injury has saved us three runs at the dish and on defense.

tk13 10-28-2011 08:09 PM

You guys have been wanting to pull Carpenter every inning since the 2nd, haha.

Although now, I'd consider it here. Although you risk LaRussa tinkering around like a madman for three innings by doing it.

I probably start the next inning off with Rhodes against Murphy, then go to Salas/Dotel, saving Scrabble for Hamilton

I've been the only one in here advocating leave him in but even myself thinks its time. He's at 93 pitches on 3 days rest but it looks like he convinced TLR to let him go another inning.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-28-2011 08:12 PM

Carp gave you six innings of two hit ball after letting the first four guys reach base. He's done his job and done it admirably. How he gutted out 5 2/3 of no run ball after that start I'll never, ever know.

I really worry that Tony is going Grady Little here.

Demonpenz 10-28-2011 08:13 PM

the rangers are starting to tighten up

Frazod 10-28-2011 08:13 PM

Damn, that looked like it might drop in initially.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-28-2011 08:13 PM

Theriot hits so many balls on the screws that go 280 feet.

Giving him even more reason to shorten the damn swing up. He gets zero reward for the long swing if he hits the ball well.

This is game 7 of the World Series McCarver. I can't imagine Rhodes is throwing just to be throwing.

Carp should stay in. You guys are running the risk of LaRussa tinkering around like a madman for three innings here.

He's a decoy. You don;t let Carp bat and then pull him after one batter.

Frazod 10-28-2011 08:20 PM

****

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-28-2011 08:20 PM

That needs to be it, Tony.

Rhodes, this is the team that cut you. This is the team that told you that you weren't' good enough to be a lefty in a pen without any. This is your time. Take that mother****ing cokeheaded rat **** Washington, and pull his ****ing cock through is ass.

His tinkering worked in the first two series. If done right, it's better that a flat Carpenter.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-28-2011 08:23 PM

****, Tony. Go to Dotel now.

KC_Connection 10-28-2011 08:24 PM

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-28-2011 08:25 PM

Good work, Arthur. Now get Dotel the **** in there.

It's gonna go Dotel to Kinsler and Andrus, Scrabble v. Hamilton.

I really, really hope we can get out of this inning w/o any damage, because I don't trust Motte against the meat of the Rangers' order again.

NJChiefsFan 10-28-2011 08:29 PM

Haha how many people even know or remember that the Mets were down 3 in game 7 of the 86' WS. Everybody just remembers game 6.

KC_Connection 10-28-2011 08:29 PM

If Dotel and Rzep do the job and hold the lead (assuming the Cards don't blow it after they leave), it will have been worth giving up Rasmus. Crazy to think about that.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-28-2011 08:30 PM

I posted it earlier in the thread. Most people don't remember that. They don't remember the Cubs lead the game 7 after the Bartman game, etc. Same thing so far tonight. Texas jumped out on top and the Cards came back.

Yeah watching 'Catching Hell' even after Wood hit that HR, the fans still didn't seem to believe.

Not getting a run there is a huge killer for Texas.

chefsos 10-28-2011 08:34 PM

Not sure about the rest of the Rangers, but Andrus was really pressing there.
