So, who takes the blame?
|
I'm guessing Tyrion is going to be blamed. He already was.
I feel like whoever felt like they had to do this at the wedding may not have had regular access to Joffrey otherwise, so I think that rules out his closest family. |
Well that was unexpected. I figured it was coming this season, but in the 2nd episode? Wow.
Tyrion's clearly going to catch the blame (and he may need his father/Jaime's help to get out of it somehow), but if I had to guess at who did it, it would be Tywin. Joffrey was too much of a loose cannon for him to control and he's all about maintaining his family's legacy. Such a risk for him to take, yes, but maybe he felt it was necessary with that kid. |
yeah, that and Tywin gets along well with Olenna Tyrell.
|
Wouldn't be surprised if Olenna Tyrell was in on it too, although I don't know what she would really gain from it (beyond getting Margaery out of harm's way). Could have made a deal with Tywin, though?
Poison doesn't seem like it would be Oberyn's style (and his revenge is also more directed Tywin's way for how he sacked King's Landing). |
