I actually ran into a 49ers fan who agreed with everything we're saying. He asked me if I wanted Alex Smith. I jokingly asked him if Jim Harbaugh came with him.....and he laughed and said no. He wanted to know who I wanted at #1 and I told him Geno Smith. He said in his opinion.....he'll have a better overall career than RGIII.

But saying the majority are afraid to draft a QB 1 overall is not true at all. |

And yes, I understand that RGIII and Kappy have completely different builds. |

Arizona Cardinals GM Steve Keim believes it is "a little bit of a cop-out" to say the 2013 QB class is thin.
"Everybody likes to say it’s not as deep at certain positions, but I think if you have confidence in your system, you’re always able to find certain players at certain points in the draft who are value picks," Keim says. The Cardinals hold the seventh pick in the draft and might be considering one of the top quarterback names in this class. |
Yeah, Cardinals are taking a QB.
|
You hear that, tradedown tards? Cardinals want a QB. So do the Bills.
The QBs will be gone if you don't wise up. There's no such thing as appropriate "value" whatever the **** that means when it comes to the QB position. A QB is ALWAYS worth the pick no matter how you feel about him (within reason, that is.) If you're saying Geno, Wilson, or Barkley are not within reason, you're stupid and can't be helped. Sorry. Go watch Sporting KC or something. |
The contract alone is why we should take a QB #1 overall.

$22 million over 4-5 years......and the dude can't hold out for a new contract throughout the entire thing.

Got to get the value. That's all that matters.
