He's building up for an explosion of sacks, and I think it's coming soon. |
It's obviously splitting hairs, but it looks to me like Dobbs lost it before his arm was moving forward (when he was rotating the ball upward) while Allen lost it a split second after.
They probably should have stayed with whatever was ruled on the field in both cases, though. |

Without the special teams mistakes, the Jaguars wouldn't have been able to make the game close. |

they cant help it there's about 5-6 of them that seem like they're just gonna die on this hill and that any talk at all about wanting to see some changes on defense is completely unthinkable to them and this is in spite of the jags being about 10th on overall offense and having some lucky balls bounce our way..just sticking their fingers in their ear holes and screaming "la la la la' when you try and discuss the D rationally with them. dont get me wrong. i think there are tons and tons of positives over the season. Ive said all season long we FINALLY have the talent at all the levels. Thats awesome. This is gonna be some great experience for this young group, win or lose. |
Well, if want to act like the Jaguars being the '10th ranked offense' as being some sort of joke, we shouldn't be too worried about Cincinnati, since they're the 8th ranked offense. They average a whole 3 yards more per game!
I think some of you think Jacksonville was some kind of weak-ass team, and weren't paying attention the last half of the season to the rest of the NFL. They'd won like 7 of 8 down the stretch and put up some healthy numbers doing so. The two big returns put our defense on a short field twice. We held the Jags about 4 points under their scoring average for the season despite that. And it would've been more significant had we not dropped two INT's that hit our guys right in the hands. If's and but's, and candy and nuts and all of that. Bottom line is, that was a pretty good defensive effort against a legitimate offense no matter what you guys want to think. You know what changes I'd like to see? A legitimate pass rusher in Frank Clark's spot. Clark had a decent game Saturday, but disappears far too often, in my opinion. but considering we're rocking 5 of our top 12 defensive players being rookies and drug along the corpse of Frank Clark for most of the season, I feel pretty good about the direction of the defense and think Spagnuolo did a pretty impressive job all things considered. That blitz that led to the INT in the 4th quarter was a pretty great call. And all of the rookies are acquitting themselves well. Burrow and his cast of weapons are scary, and if anyone's expecting to hold them to 17 points or some such shit are off their rockers unless there's snow. |
