I want nothing more than to have Duncan enter this thread and tell us why this start means nothing.

What was he throwing? I hope Shields was maybe working on something and not necessarily worried about what the results of the pitch was.

Not hard. It's spring training. Nothing, good or bad can be pulled too much from it. Especially when they're not fighting for a starting spot.

Royals score big today

This was a good game for us, IMO. Yeah yeah, our Ace and opening day starter sputtered out early, its gonna happen with monster lineups like the Angels sometimes. But I really like how our team responded to being in the hole. Big bats came to play today, spring training or not. And I think that it probably helped their psyche knowing they can do that sort of thing and hang in there with the best of them. JIMO

So should we, or should we not be concerned about Shields' start? Hasn't he had to bad outings in a row?

Could not give a **** less what proven pitchers do in Spring Training, and this is coming from someone who wishes we never traded for Shields.

As long as he's healthy, he'll be just fine.
