They went with the cheapest option. Those mother****ers..... |

"feel good" is really subject to something of a sliding scale. "Does it feel like someone's jamming a hot poker up your urethra? No? Just a regular room temperature poker? Fantastic then, see how much better that feels?" |

Honestly, I'm with DJ on this signing.
It's a show us what you've got deal, to a guy who has shown to be a pretty good back. |
I hope they draft his replacement in the draft...

Meh, rather have Tolbert.
|
Like this signing. Great pairing we have at RB. Huge upgrade here.
|
With Tolbert still visiting KC, I'm hoping we get both Hillis and Tolbert to go with Charles and to an extent McCluster. We could go beast mode on teams with that backfield!
|
This is the type of signing you make 3-4 weeks into free agency. This isn't any type of long term solution or plan.

Tolbert has never had 1,700 yards from scrimmage. |
What's really worrying is (and someone else here has already said this) is that it is setting up a run first offensive attack to protect Cassel's shortcomings.. As counterproductive as that is.

I really like this move. The only thing that makes me not a little iffy is that I like Tolbert so much. I think Tolbert is kinda a sure-thing as far as what you can predict. Hillis is a little bit of a wild card. I do believe his head will be on straight.
I will say this, I think Hillis has more upside than Tolbert. Hillis has had some sick games when he is going right. Also probably won't mind playing Denver, although you could say that about Tolbert and SD. |
I know he's had some ups and downs, but I've always been a fan of this guy. While I would have liked to have Tolbert, I think Hillis has something to prove and will kick ass in Kansas City.
