I thought this was common knowledge. It doesn't matter anyway, as far as the point I was trying to make. He was still a league MVP and took his team to the Super Bowl. |
sorry, people who think this place has changed are self absorbed assholes...plain and simple
people have been crying about this place changing since the first day it opened....total laugh out loud nonsense.... people change...people think they're too good for this place, so they act like jesus for awhile then cry and pout and then leave... people change...they get older and miss "their friends" and so they complain that "the planet has changed" because they don't recognize anyone any more... it is all navel gazing, me-monkey horse crap.... this place is as interesting and busy as ever....hundreds of people have left and this place chugs right along with different people, that's life folks...things change...deal with it phobia, htismage, russ, hell go back a lot farther....each time a favorite poster left some weepy self-centered poster claimed "it was all over!"..."it will never be the same!"..."it was better back then!!".....horseshit, lying horseshit get over yourselves, you aren't that important....we'll be just fine when warjesusonthecross decides that the Planet isn't good enough for him anymore....did the sun come up when mecca left to comb his golden locks? yes, of course it did.... one lesson: if you've ever said or thought, "this place is going to hell," please, do me a favor and take a vacation....walk Christ's footsteps on the beach and realize the simple truth: You aren't that important. |

It's not like basketball where Lebron James is responsible for playing both good offense and defense. And so, the only way you can judge players is based on whether they played well within realistic expectations. If your realistic expectation is that your QB needs to score 30+ points to win games, then your QB has to be damn near perfect to win football games. But QBs shouldn't be expected to be perfect to win football games. Of course, there are places where Cassel could have done better in that game, but improving from great to perfect is a hell of a lot harder than improving the defense that game from horrendous to average. When a baseball team loses, I blame the guy who went 0-4, not the guy who went 3-4 but missed out on one hit. He exceeded REALISTIC expectations. Accountability is not about blaming everyone when you lose. Accountability is about recognizing successes and improving the areas where you failed. |
This just in,..
Matt Cassel had ham on Rye today for lunch. Thanks! |
