I have watched all of UK's games....and find them impressive. Are they head and shoulders above the rest...no way. But to act like they are lucky to be where they are is delusional and reeks of denial.

They are absolutely somewhat lucky to be undefeated......I don't think anyone is saying they aren't good, they just aren't a great "team".

And somewhere in this season KU will have to have a game with a lesser team won by last minute heroics by Collins or Aldrich or Henry....

Will that make them a lesser team? I can bet with pretty good authority that you would have all kinds of explanations to validate the win.

Actually if you take time to read all my posts, both here and on the Kentucky vs. Louisville thread, you will see I give props to KU.

They might be a step behind the others, but Syracuse beat your UNC by 16 points (you were the one that thinks UNC has been good, right?). And they've also dominated all of their opponents until Pittsburgh today...which was an understandable loss. The Big East is a tough conference, so there might be a few more coming.

Villanova is overrated, yes. No post game.

Did you borrow his homer contacts?

No, KU doesn't play close games against bad teams like Miami of Ohio, Stanford, and Long Beach State. They blow them out. UK, on the other hand, has played close games against bad teams all year.

UNC is better than Temple...that was my sole argument in regard to them.

At this point in the season... There isnt much difference between KU, UK, TX and probably Prudue.....

JMO....

KC_Connection 01-02-2010 10:49 PM

Before today's games:

Kentucky's strength of schedule: 157
Kentucky's margin of victory: 18.5

Kansas' strength of schedule: 111
Kansas' margin of victory: 29.4

So far yes....but you misread the post and are assuming alot. Should I refer back to this post if you lose to any of the cellar dwellers in the Big 12? To act like KU won't have one game that they eek out against a poor team is pure denial.

Eeked out a win against a garbage team in memphis... No way in hell Memphis should of stayed with in 20 of this KU team....

I would agree....wholeheartedly.

And remember...I have no dog in this hunt. In fact, living here in the shadow of UK i am starting to have the same level of loathing that I do for Jayhawks.

I thought I would never be able to find BB fans as obnoxious as Jayhawk fans...but quite frankly you guys take a back seat to some UK fans.

Now you're just being silly.

Of course using silly logic....this was pretty much the same team that MU blew out in the tourney last year. (TIC)

Kansas won't lose to a cellar dweller in the Big 12. They will blow out both Colorado and Nebraska (really, these two are the only "bad" teams in the conference). I predicted 3 losses this season, but this team is looking a bit better than even I expected. They are possibly even better than this team:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007%E2...asketball_team

Which, as you might notice, never even played a close game against a "bad" team (unless you count Arizona).

Honestly, KU fans have nothing on UK fans... They actually can control the firing and hiring of coaches... Those guys are completely looney...
