Leap of faith.

That's fine in Assassains Creed, but in the real, grown up world where there is no magic, things are different.

Once you have the knowledge, once you have studied the origins of the superstitions, and then the cosmos, you find yourself at peace knowing that as much as I'd like it to be me living forever watching a Chiefs superbowls ever year, it's not going to be that.

No and I said as much in my post that obviously someone shouldn't believe in something simply for the sake of it sounding nice. Nobody is arguing that.

I was simply pointing out the reality or consequences of where they're at.

It's not like atheists have a choice.

I get it. I really do. I have a college buddy who is pretty much the same way. He needs the scientific proof right in front of him to believe in it. I suppose that's why it's called faith so what can you do.

And if you do any of these 10 things, he has a special place full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever till the end of time... But he loves you.

The greatest rant of all time. I miss George.

Crab cakes.

The end of the world is nigh; 21 May, to be precise. That's the date when Harold Camping, a preacher from Oakland, California, is confidently predicting the Second Coming of the Lord. At about 6pm, he reckons 2 per cent of the world's population will be immediately "raptured" to Heaven; the rest of us will get sent straight to the Other Place.
2% huh! Not looking good for Coogs under those guidelines!

It's not so much about scientific proof as it is about understanding the origins of superstitions, religion, morality, society and the facts of science we have at hand.

I still believe in a higher power deep down inside but that's the power of cognitive dissonance, isn't it?

Unlike Magic Users, Clerics, etc., Assassins are unable to cast spells.
