You cant install the type of offense Manning wants and have Tebow run it. He cant run it.

What if Manning gets injured? Tebow wont be able to do it.

Homo doesnt get this.

I really don't agree with that argument at all.

If Drew Brees got hurt could his backup run the offense as good as Brees did? Hell no.

You keep saying this. What are you seeing that we're not? I'm wondering if he's already seen us before going to Denver.

It's a hunch, backed up by confirmation from some die-hard Indy fans I know. Given what's transpired so far, I think he's coming to KC after he does his homework...to confirm what seems obvious to some of us.

Given his personality, his history in Inday, his limited window, current talent and supporting cast of the Chiefs, and playing for a team in a winnable division....with a shot at facing his old team next year, I just think the dominos are lined-up.

I felt strongly that the Jets and Skins were non-starters despite rampant speculation. With the way that played out, it seems to be pre-ordained. I can't see him as a Bronco or Seahawk...so that pretty much leaves us and the Cardinals. If he chooses someone OTHER than the Chiefs, I'm betting on the Cardinals....but the Kolb and "midwest" factors throw it to KC, IMHO. Guess we'll see though.

It's not whether or not he could run it as well...it's a matter of if he could run it at all.

What do you think Manning will do the first time Fox hollers to him from the sideline to come out for a play so that Tebow can come in and run the wildcat?

If you guys sign Manning, Tebow is gone.

Yeah, not the same thing. At all.

His backup could at least run the same system. Tebow had to have the entire offense tailored around him last year to be even mildly successful.

What if phog disappeared from CP forever after this, and no one ever noticed.

This organization feels like the KGB.

To sum up what we know:

- No visit currently scheduled by Manning that we know of, not a good sign
- Manning reveres his father who still has some strange control over his kids' decision-making process
- Doubtful Archie would approve of the chaotic Chiefs
- Chiefs need help on the offensive line, remember that Manning doesn't like to be touched and we have no RT (even when we had a RT)
- Both Peyton and Archie are probably in awe of John Elway, like JJ Abrahms getting to work with Steven Spielberg
- Denver is similar to KC with strong running game, good defense, and some nice receivers
- Denver is a football town like KC, but has a winning pedigree instead of the slop we've learned to live with

It all points to Manning in Denver, us re-signing Carr and Orton.

Sucks, but that's my guess...

Nope. You give the Donks too much credit. Chiefs will give assurance of a push to "fix" the O-Line (young talent and FA acquisitions,) and that will be all that it takes to steal him from the Donks/Cards IMHO.

BigMeatballDave 03-10-2012 06:36 PM

If Manning already visited, that was a great job of keeping it quiet.

I honestly feel like Pioli runs this organization like the KGB.

And you're point is...sorry, I don't see one

Hutch just got released, he could be a nice addition :)

Yes it is. The offense that Painter and Orlovsky ran was nothing like the one Peyton did.

CaliforniaChief 03-10-2012 06:39 PM

Yeah, because we know we haven't been talking to Tom Condon this whole time. LMAO

Quiet, it's a hush job.

The enemy is lurking.

Has that ever happened in the Pioli era? A visit that wasn't heard of until after?
