Handsome Bob IS Mad Max.

Lots of naked and half naked tramps in this movie.

Approval trending up.

Not a bad flick. Good, popcorn-y fun.

This is definitely the 2nd worst movie I've seen in the last year. Was better than Fast and Furious 7 though, just because the visuals were better. Terrible story line. No clue how either of those movies got such good reviews. Strange. The same people who like this movie, say they hate Transformers? Whats the difference?

The comparison is because of the fantastic visuals, but weak storyline or anything else of real substance.

What exactly were you expecting in a Road Warrior reboot, story-wise?

I guess the difference is in what you enjoy in a movie. I enjoy a story that is told predominantly by visuals, not dialogue, and Mad Max is so amazingly visual, I wouldn't even qualify it as just great among action movies. I think it is really special among all movies. People in this world are just a bunch of spare parts motivated by the myths they have been told, and only when they can become more than their parts, can they see through the myths and rise to meet a hero's arc, and really Nuk is the only one who does in this movie because his story is simpler, but we are set up to see what Max and Furiosa will make of their new found humanity in what I hope will be future installments of a really interesting franchise.

The director took a genre he defined, a myth of his own making, that has become a desaturated and violent status quo, and he put the color back into it, and he turned it to a fresh idea of building these people back up.

This was a very entertaining film. Lots of action and a visual masterpiece.

Fast and Furious is Einstein compared to this movie.

This had the same emotional impact on me like I was playing a car racing video game. I can enjoy a good action movie but only if there is some kind of soul in it and Mad Max lacked that entirely.

I admit, I do not know much about the Mad Max universe and the intentions behind this reboot but I think a movie should work on its own.

Sweet Daddy Hate 05-29-2015 06:42 AM

Yes, because the original Max was just CRAMMED with dialogue!
