We will know tomorrow night at the latest, but my optimism that he'll be fired is officially gone.

You are not making me feel very good about life right now.

The reason they never hit the salary cap is because we dont owe $ to dead contracts, anywhere. You can bet your ass any team bumping the salary cap has a ton of dead $ and bad contracts. I hate the salary cap argument.

just my opinion, believe what you want.

I also believe that Hunt will resist 'cleaning house' unless he thinks that he doesn't really have much choice. The Hunt family is about business and they don't like change unless it's directly related to making money.

When you couldn't even get Peyton Manning or Jeff Fisher to even talk to you, you know something is wrong. The games aren't even fun to go to anymore. Even the shitty Carl/Herm years weren't even this bad. Hell in 20 years Carl Peterson never got the hate that Pioli has earned from fans. Jack Stedman and Jim Schaff never got it either. Peterson and Steadman were active in the community and did alot of good in the city. If Pioli is retained, it will be a very hard decision on season tickets for me.

If Pioli stays, I hope he does hire Ferentz. I will actually have some hope for my college team. And since I won't be rooting for the Chiefs anymore, I wouldn't care less what the hell they do.

DeezNutz 12-30-2012 02:46 PM

Positive is that Stanzi would finally get his big break.

The problem is that, for every informed anti-Piolite, there are dozens (if not hundreds) of Chiefs fans who guzzle the koolaid. Deb ALL CAPS is not alone. We're talking about tailgate addicts who couldn't care less (more or less) about the inner workings of the franchise. They just want to root for their team ... win or lose.

With all the bullshit this year, getting embarrassed by Peyton Manning isn't changing anyone's mind.

I just don't understand how 2-14 at this point in his tenure can make an owner say, "well, I haven't seen enough fail yet to believe he can't do it. Lets give him another shot." I mean, it's absolutely incredible that he has a job.

A performance record like Scott's would have gotten me fired 3 or 4 times at my current job.

Can someone explain the Clark is cheap theory to me. I thought that the more people you have in the stadium - the more money you get from ticket, beer/food, parking, sales....etc. If you lose a lot of games you also lose a lot of fans , royalties, advertisment and a chance at their money. Why would Clark not care about winning?

And that is the truth.

If Clark retains Dr. Evil, it's for reasons other than performance as an actual NFL pro football team.

There used to be poster here named Luzap who said he didn't really care if the Chiefs won or lost, he was just happy to have the NFL in KC. He liked going to games. Yeah, winning was nice, but so long as he could cheer for a team ...

Earlier this year, Kent Babb said that not firing Pioli would be evidence that Hunt is the worst owner in football.

Kind of hard to argue with this logic.

I am a Clark supporter and I couldn't argue it.
