Butler is, without question, the best pure hitter on the team. Bashing him is damn near a baseball litmus test.

No problem, it is a sea of info to wade through. It's under the splits tab. He actually has a higher OPS when the game is within 1 run than any other run differential... and 6 of his 9 homers have come in 1-run games. 5 of them when the game was tied. His "Late & Close" OPS is like 50 or 60 points higher.

Had 15 at the break in '07. Finished that year with 18, and I don't believe he had any major problems, if any, with injury. Sharing time with Olivo.

I just think the issue is, that he's playing DH, and that he isn't your prototypical DH, that should be generating power/hitting homeruns as most DH's in the AL are capable of.

It's like, the only + Billy has is hitting. Other than that, everything else is below average/negatives.

Yeah, I'll still take Salvy over John Buck and his .675 OPS.

Coach 07-25-2013 08:43 PM

Smoked Davis.

Holie Shit.

Thanks, dude. I was thinking it was under "advanced hitting." My bad, and thanks for the efforts.

So will I. Wouldn't be a bad second catcher, though.

lewdog 07-25-2013 08:44 PM

SPchief 07-25-2013 08:44 PM
