It's a complete meal for under 8 bucks that tastes like actual food moreso than any other fast food restaurant if you can compare any kind of fast food to real food.

The quality if ingredients is high.

Mexican it is not.

And out here, it's $10 dollars with guacamole and tax.

This. I can get full off a chipotle burrito and feel very satisfied. Seriously, $7 for a burrito the size of my calf? Why the hell not?

Yeah, I don't get the guac usually. I just do the steak bowl with peppers, hot salsa, a small amount of sour cream and cheese. Brown rice.

It's protein, a little bit of fiber, and not all that incredibly high on the fat content the way any kind of fried food would be. I consider that a win for a meal on the go.

If I want real Mexican I know the right places.

It's all good if you can find food that you enjoy. I have been eating a low fat, low sodium, high fiber diet with lots of fruits and vegetables for several months. I didn't even do it on purpose. I just started craving that kind of food. I am taking in more sugar now that I have quit smoking, hard candy and gum to keep my mind off of it. Totally worth it.

I think it is about the same here in Illinois. Not a fan. The place that does have insanely good ingredients is Papa Murphy's pizza. You do have to cook it yourself, but damn that shit is always tight. And I know it's been discussed before.

like the waffle fries the rest no idea, they are right next to a in'n out burger so get fries there animal style burgers there
good to go

Chick-fil-a is slightly overrated. And that is being nice. Their spicy chicken is a joke. Not spicy at all. Chipotle just doesn't do it for me flavor wise. I don't want to call it Mexican, I don't want to call it tex-mex. It's the Jimmy John's of the ameri-mex flair. Papa Murphy's has always been disgusting to me. Panera Bread beats them all as far as fast food goes.

ShortRoundChief 08-08-2013 02:22 AM

I think it sucks. That being said my sister and her family swears by it.

One of us is wrong and it's probably me, but I can live with it. If I want some chicken I'll go to KFC and get the mutant genetically altered caged midget original recipe or the occasional LJS.

I love hushpuppies, but you can only eat LJS maybe once a year or you'll die.

listopencil 08-08-2013 02:57 AM

Try to remember how many times you have ever visited LJS in your lifetime. Now think about your age in years. If years of age>number of visits then you are probably fine. I think, no, I am pretty sure that my LJS ratio is less than 2 to 1.

Chicken, for me, is the ultimate 'rich man/poor man' food. I detest bad chicken [with an absurdly high threshold on what constitutes 'bad.'] But love good chicken on par with the most extravagant delicacies.

Say KFC versus Strouds. A piece of KFC > 30 seconds post fryer can make my stomach turn, all clammy, mushy and greasy, and not in a good way. But Strouds brings out that pan fried breast, with perfect seasoning and natural juices straining to be released, heaven on earth.

Same with Italian, a good Spedini, or some grilled breast in Angel Hair Alfredo, Nirvana.

But a FF chicken sammich needs to either be spicy, really fresh, or accompanied with a lot of great condiments/sauces.

Re: beef - from Taco Bell ground to Ruth's Chris top sirlion, I'm a lot more forgiving up and down the line.

I just randomly thought of this - not sure why.

Wow. I remember as a kid when the Taco Tico in Emporia, KS would have three tacos for a dollar. Every single time Dad would round up the family and we would go gorge ourselves on tacos. Good times.

Went to Chik Fil A once. They were giving away some new free item. It was good. Not convenient for me here, so I don't go.

I'd like to try one their pretzel bun burgers but the Wendy's in Hollywood is a mess to get to from my home.

I'll try it one of these days.

It's ****ing fab! They put honey mustard on it, and I really didn't expect to like it nearly as much as I did. Best ff burger I've had in some time.

BlackHelicopters 08-08-2013 05:56 AM

Still call them Chik A Fil. Don't know why.
