I always like Gonzo and he was a great Chief but he moved on to try and win it all but it didn't work out. The last thing I'd want to see is Gonzo jumping ship again. I'd lose all respect for him if he did that.

bottom line is if you can upgrade your team at a reasonable price

I think everyone agrees with this. The sticking points are the degree of upgrade, if any, and the definition of reasonable.

Shit, how about a 1st if we make the Super Bowl. If we went that far, is there really any price too high?

Why does your respect for the player trump your desire to improve the team?

Iowanian 10-28-2013 06:52 PM

You're right.

Gonzalez needs to go home.....to California to eat some veggie pizza.
He chose to leave for a winner.....it's only fitting that his team sucks and the Chiefs are a contender in his last year.

He was a great Chief and he is still pretty decent but I'm done with that era.

ThaVirus 10-28-2013 06:54 PM

I'd take the guy if he could be had for a 5th or less.

I've never met the guy and have only ever heard stories about his douchey demeanor. I don't have any issue with him really (based on what we know now, who here would want to work for Pioli?), but how sweet would it be to win the Super Bowl in his last season?

I mean, winning a ****ing playoff game would be as sweet as sweet gets for us; but shit, that would just be some pretty tasty icing on the cake.

I don't know but it seems to in some cases. If a trade actually happened I'd cheer for Gonzo. It won't so

It's like Alex Smith for a 4th rounder and drafting a rookie I'd a been fully on board.

Rather do this:

REDSKINS ARE AGGRESSIVELY SHOPPING FRED DAVIS

With the trade deadline less than a day away, the Redskins are trying hard to make a deal.

Per a league source, Washington hopes to trade tight end Fred Davis.

The 2012 franchise-tag recipient tore an Achilles tendon last season. He returned under a one-year, $1 million contract, and the Redskins have phased him out of their plans, given the performances of Jordan Reed and Logan Paulsen.

The Redskins, according to the source, are aggressively shopping Davis. If a deal can’t be worked out, there’s a chance Davis will be cut.

If he’s cut after the trade deadline, Davis will be subject to waivers.
