Look, I'm not going to say Alex is better than Cutler. They're 2 QB's of similar caliber with completely different strengths and weaknesses. They're both pretty shitty, but are better than the bottom rung of the league. Alex plays timid and makes the safe throw and moves past his first read way too quickly, but Cutler plays STUPID and reckless. I'd rather have a smart timid QB than a stupid, bold, strong armed QB.
So I'd rather have Smith.
Now if I had Randy Moss or some other cheat code WR in their prime, I'd rather have Cutler. Cos he has a stronger arm and ALL HE HAS TO DO is throw it up there. On a team with a bad OL and bad WR's I'd take Alex every time.
