Thanks. I'll check it out. I got into Mastodon by accident by asking Alexa to play "Halloween heavy metal" in October and of course "Halloween" played.

I'm not sure I'd categorize them as stoner rock though. At least not since Crack the Skye. They're hard to categorize but I feel like most metal fans would like them.

I'm going to check out Carlota's station. I bet I might discover some other bands I really like.

It's still stoner/doom at the core although their last few albums have heavily incorporated more progressive and experimental elements.

Mastodon usually isn't an entry point, they're a destination in and of themselves. ;)
