I'll try to get him to take up drinking more. It's the only way.

As dry as it is where I live, it's even worse for him up north. Unreal.

I never met a farmer that didn't drink.

He does a smidge, but it's tempered.

It's not the 30 pack of Busch Light-out Saturday like some of the guys around here. LMAO

Some crazy shit around here. I have surrounding counties that have flood warnings, winter weather advisories and severe thunderstorm warnings all within 100 miles of each other. It was 60 yesterday, dropped to 40 today, now is warming overnight and will be 60 again tomorrow, only to drop to 40 by evening. This was after getting a total of 30 inches of snow a couple Saturdays in a row.

Weirdest weather I’ve ever seen.

The wind blows

htismaqe 04-05-2023 06:28 AM

Haven't checked out the reports for down south yet but up here, this didn't really amount to much.

One cell produced a tornado intermittently from around Milo (north of Osceola) to up by Malcolm, which is about 20 minutes east of me.

Other than that one cell, it was mostly a hail event. Just SE of us, they got baseball-sized hail.

htismaqe 04-05-2023 06:43 AM

Looks like the tornado threat just never materialized. There were only 15 tornado reports total last night and it looks like about half of them were from the same tornado in Fulton County, IL. Another 4 were the intermittent tornado I just mentioned.

And I just got notification I'm under a tornado warning. Yippee.

Today might end up being more active than last night.

I'm hoping the worst has passed. Had a shitload of lightning and thunder and some really heave rainfall, which is all pooling and running off at this point. I haven't walked out to look at the creek and fallen limb situation yet.

Use the map to go to Osceola, Iowa. Big shit about to hit there.

I had some friends in that area that had their places torn up pretty badly. Baseball size hail.

There was a 30+ degree differential between KC and Harrisonville in the midnight hour this morning. Crazy stuff.

Last night when the fronts collided just west of Des Moines, it was 58 here. Probably the biggest reason we didn't get much because we were on the backside of the action. But 40 miles to the south, it was over 80.

They called out school at noon because of the forecast. Ended up being a normal day.

They just missed where the front would set. If it was 100 miles further north it would have been out of the south it would have been the ****ing disaster they called for.

Thank god they missed the wind.

I was sitting by the tractor with the chisel on waiting for the wind to switch directions. **** this shit.

I have a corn planter on, and I’ll eventually plant shit, but goddamn a half inch of rain would make me more enthusiastic about planting.

LOL **** that goat piss.

I did have a whiskey last night, but if I tried to drink away my problems alcohol poisoning would have gotten me already.

There might be some more drinking in my future when it’s 90 next week and my wheat says **** it I’m out.

This ****ing sucks.
