this season blows

arrowheadnation 10-04-2009 05:26 PM

Tonight is the season finale *tear

Cannot wait to see what Ari does to Lloyd if/when he buys TMA.

arrowheadnation 10-04-2009 09:10 PM

Freaking awesome finale. Definitely one of the top 5 episodes of the show's entire run! Loved every second of it!!! Now we gotta wait another 9 freaking months. Oh yeah, make sure to hang around after the credits roll LMAO!

BWillie 10-05-2009 01:19 AM

By far the best ep of the season. Loved it. Wish they were all 42 minutes long.

Silock 10-05-2009 01:32 AM

Awesome finale. Totally made up for the suck of the season. Drama was awesome. I really didn't know he could act like that. HUAAAAAAGH! *lol*

LOL lines of the night:

"Can we **** in here?"

Baby Lee 10-05-2009 07:27 AM

The big question, was Damon lampooning himself or did they have another do-gooder scold in mind when they wrote his part.

Dane? Dish.

I loved that part, and when the elevator doors opened and Ari was standing there with the paintball gun and that sh*teating grin on his face. Classic.

DaneMcCloud 10-05-2009 11:10 AM

The final episode felt like a Series Finale because HBO was late on next year's renewal. And quite honestly, I wish it WAS the series finale because everything was wrapped up quite nicely.

1. Ari and Terrance reunite, make amends. Ari owns his company and "revenge".
2. Eric and Sloan get married.
3. Vince is a Superstar that's now earning $20 million per year.
4. Johnny Drama, after decades of struggling, is now a bonafide TV star.
5. Lloyd is reunited with Ari and is finally an agent.
6. Turtle is Turtle.

The Matt Damon thing was absolutely hysterical. It was more of a play on Wahlberg, not Vince and to me, a fitting way to end the series.

Sadly IMO, it can only get worse from here.

Just caught the episode from Sunday on DVR and holy shit - what a great ****ing episode and show

The Matt Damon part after credits had me laughing my ass off

Anyone know the Jay-Z song that was rolling during credits?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. "In my lifetime (remix)"

the writers must have taken some aderol for this one or something. The best episode of this pretty lame season by far.

I'm a bit late to this party but I LOVE the show and Jeremy Piven is amazing.

What I found completely ironic about this show is that if you strip away the crude language and hot cars it's pretty much "Sex and the City" for guys.

There's nothing wrong with the writers, directors or actors. It's just that they're prolonging the inevitable (series finale) and giving us a bunch of filler episodes that either don't advance the story or do it at a snail's pace.

This should have been the series finale. Do we really need to see another season? They're all on top of the world. What's next? Seeing Vince get married? Is that necessary?

Thats cool. I was worried they would fuk up everything this year. The ending last year looked like a series finale. Pretty good way to go out, IMHO.
Ari's paintball escapade and Mat Damon's rant at the end was as good as anything they have ever done.

Porn star Sasha Grey takes on 'Entourage'

Last Updated: 9:30 AM, May 7, 2010

Posted: 1:22 AM, May 7, 2010

Adrian Grenier will have his hands full on "Entourage" with porn star Sasha Grey. The X-rated actress meets Grenier's Vince Chase in a bar in the fifth episode and sticks around for the rest of next season. The plot was inspired by Charlie Sheen's affair with Ginger Lynn in the late '90s. "You can't believe she's a porn star when you meet her," Grenier told TV Guide. Grey already went mainstream when she starred in Steven Soderbergh's "The Girlfriend Experience" last year. "I wouldn't have done this storyline if Sasha passed," said "Entourage" creator Doug Ellin.

Buck 05-08-2010 06:23 AM

P.S.

My buddy got some thing on the Entourage facebook page that said 2 more seasons, plus a feature length film to end the show.

Watch The Girlfriend Experience by Steven Soderburgh. She's capable of a nuanced performance (by Entourage standards anyway).

Naw, I'm good. I've heard it wasn't that great, and I have no desire in seeing it.

I'll probably just have to judge her acting by what she does in Entourage, but she seems like the quiet type, from trailers I've seen from that movie.

DaneMcCloud 05-08-2010 11:13 AM

Back in November, a new couple moved into a home in my neighborhood (2 blocks away, on our daily dog walking route). I met the wife at that time, kind of a self-important young blonde, but hadn't met the husband until yesterday. During this time however, they have a dog that terrorizes my labs every time we walk by their home (the home at one time was owned by screen legend Betty Davis).

I"d never seen the dog because they have a 6 foot privacy fence and trees blocking the view to their home and the front yard. Yesterday, I met the dog: Arnold from Entourage! Turns out that the husband is a producer on the show and they actually own him.

The dog is absolutely ripped but there's a reason for that: Five times a week, the dog has a personal trainer work him out for an hour a day.

A ****ing personal trainer for a dog!

LMAO

Buck 06-24-2010 05:15 PM

This Sunday.

I was disappointed with last season but when I rewatched it, I think the last 4 or 5 episodes were pretty solid.

Also, I was disappointed with the extras on the season 6 DVD. The commentaries were cool, but other than that it was lacking (compared to other Entourage DVDs).

Buck 06-27-2010 03:49 PM

Jeremy Piven is by far the best actor on the show. Without him, I agree that the show would not still be on.

However, Johnny Drama is such a tragedy that its funny. I look forward to him the most every week. I am surprised that I'm the only one that feels this way.

Vince is the worst on the show. I mean, its his entourage, but he just isn't that great. Turtle is there for comedic relief, and didn't have his own storyline until last year. Eric is good, but him being whipped takes him down a notch in my book.

Buck 06-27-2010 03:50 PM

Also if I wasn't only including main characters, Billy Walsh would be 3rd after Ari and before Eric.

He's the only non-main character that would make my top 6, maybe Lloyd.

Mr. Flopnuts 06-27-2010 05:28 PM

I only ranked the regulars and I agree that Ari is roughly infinite spaces above the rest of them.

I absolutely hated Billy Walsh. So glad he's not on the show anymore. I guess I didn't hate him as bad as Vince's long lost friend that came back from prison. I don't remember his name

irishjayhawk 06-27-2010 09:04 PM

Man, I had low expectations and this BARELY met them.

But it did let me witness one of the most poorly acted scenes I've seen in a while: it involved Turtle and a Michael Bay bimbo.

Also, Ari is beginning to grow tiresome with me. Not because of Piven but because of the writing: it's repetitive. Never a new side of Ari. Canned situations and lines.

His name was Dom. That guy is a good actor, he was in The Wire.

As far as tonight's episode, I actually liked it a lot better than most of last season's episodes.

kcxiv 06-28-2010 12:28 AM

Billy Walsh was a douche, but he played the roll ****ign awesome. The Dom character was ok at times, other times, it was like ehh, but the episode of Dom running from the cops was pretty freaking good.

Yeah, I mean Rhys Coiro played Billy Walsh great. He was a dick, but the actor acted his ass off.

Baby Lee 06-28-2010 04:29 AM

Ari's wig was grampa on Christmas Vacation bad last night.

And when is the girl who quit Turtles sexy chauffeur service going to get upset and start bleeding from the eyes?

arrowheadnation 06-28-2010 07:25 AM

My predictions for this season.

Ari gets close to having a nervous breakdown....or marital problems.

I suppose this broad will sue Turtle for sexual harrassment.

E is going to have an issue with Scotty 24/7 (his coworker from last season) trying to worm his way into the Entourage to take Vince away. (If you watched the chat with Emmanuelle Chiriqui after the ep, you'd know what I mean).

This is just a guess, but I think Drama's deal will run out and when all hope is lost, he'll actually get a movie role (not TV).

Vince is going to slip into some sort of depression, and I'm assuming will end up in rehab at some point.

It's getting to the point that I hope she's with the Entourage when it happens.

At this point, I simply watch the show hoping for a few laughs from Ari and the hot women. That's pretty much it.

If you haven't seen an episode since season 4, how can you possibly make this claim regarding the recent episodes?

Had forgotten where this was, found it. BTW, I'm still watching, just for tits and tantrums.

Easy because it's true.

I've seen them all and it's utter rubbish now a days.

If Dane's insight that Wahlberg is preventing a darker development of the show is true, then it's all on Marky Mark.

If you guys don't like it stop ****ing watching it and talking shit about it in the thread. I want to talk to people who actually want to talk about it.

Buck - you seem to be in the habit of getting very emotionally attached to the shows you like. You defend them as if they are your girlfriends.

I just think its ****ing stupid to continue to watch a show that you don't like, and then come and complain about it on a message board and then repeat this every week for 12 weeks. Its like you are a glutton for punishment.

For instance, take Rubicon, you thought that shit was boring, so you stopped watching it, that makes sense. Its a little different because it was one episode, but I don't get the point of continuing to watch something you don't enjoy watching.

I was critical of Season 6, but I still enjoyed it.

I'll watch that pilot episode again when it airs again. I just couldn't deal with it following the BB finale.
