I'm not convinced that it's dead.

In a related historical story, I was a cook at a steak house for several years in high school and college. I still remember one memorable order. The guy ordered a steak medium rare, and I sent it out. He sent it back and said it wasn't medium rare, so I puzzled over it and gave him one that was more on the rare side. He sent it back again, and the waitress said he was mad, so my manager cooked the next one, and we both agreed that it was a perfect medium rare. We'd each cooked thousands of steaks by that point, so we kinda knew what we were doing. He sent it back again with a message that he couldn't believe that a steak house didn't know what "medium rare" meant, and stormed out, and we never did figure out what was wrong. My manager theorized that he had "medium rare" and "medium well" mixed up or something, but to this day it haunts me.

did Sirloin Stockade make him sign away his right to sue the restaurant if he got sick?

i knew a guy that used to that and bragged about it. ironically he's now a vegetarian, i think it has more to do with his hippie wife he married though.

Homemade Cheetos

1/4 cup small pearl tapioca
2 tablespoons small pearl tapioca
1 cup cheddar cheese (grated)
1/2 teaspoon water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon salt (separated)
1 3/4 cups white cornmeal
1/2 cup milk
2 egg whites
canola oil, for frying

Working time: 40 minutes.

Total kitchen time: 40 minutes.

Special equipment: coffee grinder, food processor, cookie press with 1/2 circular die, pastry bag with 1/2 round tip, or cookie gun.

For the powdered cheese:.

1. Preheat your oven to 170°F, or its lowest setting above that.

2. Grind the tapioca pearls in a coffee grinder for 1 minute, or until they turn to a very fine powder. Set aside.

3. In a small saucepan, combine the water and grated cheese over medium heat, stirring constantly.

4. When the cheese is fully melted into a clump-free, runny sauce, transfer it to the bowl of your food processor. Add the powdered tapioca and blend on high until it forms thick granules, about 30 seconds. If your mixture doesn't form granules, but forms a dough instead, add 1 teaspoons additional tapioca and continue mixing.

5. Transfer the mixture to a nonstick or lined baking sheet and spread in a thin, even layer. Bake at 170°F for 45 minutes, or until the mixture is dry to the touch. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the cheese powder to cool 10 minutes.

6. Add the cheese powder to the coffee grinder. Add 1/2 teaspoons salt and grind 1 minute, or until it turns to a very fine powder.

For the Cheetos:.

1. In a large bowl, combine the cornmeal, milk, egg whites, and 1 teaspoons salt. Mix until combined and lump-free.

2. Add the cornmeal mixture to your cookie gun, and ensure that you can extrude it through the die. If the mixture is too dry, return it to the bowl and add 1 tablespoons milk. If the mixture is too wet to hold its shape, return it to the bowl and add 1 tablespoons of corn meal.

3. Add canola oil to a medium saucepan until it is about 2 deep. Heat to 350°F.

4. Line a baking sheet with paper towels. Spread the remaining powdered cheese on a second baking sheet.

5. Carefully squirt 4-6 pumps of the cornmeal mixture directly into the oil. Fry for 15 seconds, then flip and fry for an additional 15 seconds or until golden brown. Drain briefly on the paper towels, then toss immediately in the tray of cheese powder, rolling to coat. Transfer to a plate to cool. Repeat for remaining dough, ensuring that the oil temperature holds steady at 350°F.

SNR's Updated Top Ten Prediction

1. GoChiefs
2. Rain Man
3. Sorter
4. Mr. Flopnuts
5. Hamas Jenkins
6. gblowfish
7. Thig Lyfe
8. Sofa King
9. cdcox
10. Bowser

Still flying by the seat of my pants a bit. My metrics need to be tweaked if I ever want to get a truly accurate rundown. I'm assuming Hootie takes the following measures into account in order:

1. Football talk
2. Whether or not he likes the poster
3. Content
4. Whether he agrees or disagrees with the poster on said football talk or content

I'll need to watch the names on the back end to see what he DOESN'T value in a CP poster in order to find out what the top end is going to look like.

In the meantime, I'm sticking with GoChiefs at #1. He scores too high in the top 3 criteria to warrant a drop possibly because of #4. Gblowfish moves into the top 10 after Hootie mentioned "icon status" and specifically referred to gblowfish. Dark horses Thig Lyfe, cdcox, and Bowser move up as Pestilence and The Bad Guy get knocked down. SNR also drops out of the top 10, since I assume Hootie may get insulted by some of these projections I'm making.

While you score well in those categories, there is little documentation that Hootie even knows you exist. He doesn't visit the DC Forum, and you two have never gotten in an argument over the Chiefs or Royals.

SNR's currently has you unranked. That may change a little bit later depending on your activity level in the upcoming days. Even then, you top out at an 80, which is unlikely to happen.

Sorry. Better luck in 2014.

RealSNR 05-22-2013 01:30 PM

SNR's 90-99 Predictions:

99. RedNeckRaider
98. stevieray
97. BigRedChief
96. Donger
95. mikey23545
94. CJizzles
93. petegz28
92. KILLER CLOWN
91. lcarus
90. BossChief

Analysis: If the first two names reveal anything, Hootie is going to only rank the most well known of posters. In what would normally be a range dominated by occasional guests with under 5000 posts and little to no reputation, Hootie's bottom 10 will feature a host of names with 5 figure post counts who have been memorable influences on the community. A lot of "good" guys will be on here who simply don't talk football the way Hootie likes it.

Surprises: Donger, stevieray, KILLER CLOWN- Donger will be lucky to get ranked, and if he does, it will happen very soon. Stevieray normally cracks the top 50 for most people, but much like LiveSteam, the documented interaction between Hootie and stevie is very very low. Post count is the only thing that gets him ranked at all. KILLER CLOWN is one of my favorite posters, but I don't see him registering above the top 75 according to Hootie.

Non-surprises: CJizzles, BigRedChief, BossChief- Hootie's gripes with BigRedChief and BossChief are well-known. Their time is coming soon on this list, meaning they won't see a very high ranking according to the Dragonmetric. I'm pretty sure somebody on this forum hates CJizzles, and I can't remember if it's Hootie. Just to be safe, I'm putting him on the list right now.

RealSNR 05-22-2013 01:33 PM

I'm sticking my neck out on lcarus by putting him this low, but I remember Hootie not thinking much of him. Another one of my favorite posters will bite the dust early.

No way. That's probably about 120, maybe 125 but I think that's pushing it.

Chef's temps are way different from the USDA ones. If you take a standing rib roast to 135, you've murdered the poor thing.

I take mine off at about 118 and let them rest for about 20 minutes. They do a slow crawl to the 123-125 range and look a lot like that.

Damn I wish a rib roast wasn't so expensive. There's just no better eatin'...

You do realize you're already on it twice, correct?

Yes.

Although every single one of his 28,314 posts have been absolutely terrible, you can't deny this idiot has a spot on CP's top 101. Seriously. This guy is gold. As a gambler, we really like people like CoMoChief when we're on the fence. Any time I see this idiot 'guarantee' something, I know to go with the exact opposite outcome and it has literally never failed me one time. He spends most of his time on MySpace and I'm pretty sure he and Mecca shared a girlfriend one time. Or maybe Mecca was his girlfriend? I don't ****ing remember.

Pros: Likes guys with long hair. Cheers for the Tigers and the Jayhawks adding to his already unintentional comedic value to the site. No gag reflex. Talks Chiefs football (albeit with horrible takes) on a message board called ChiefsPlanet.com unlike Donger and Frazod (Frazod being the one who thinks football is rigged because he's a fat ****ing moron).

Cons: able to have children

Outlook: a loser; probably will always be very low on this list; still cooler than Donger

Cmon PGM, update the OP!

ChiefsCountry 05-22-2013 03:10 PM

And we are off again!

Hootie, there's no way you can know enough about 101 different CP posters to make creative insults for each one. That's a lot of creative insults man.

Backwards Masking 05-22-2013 03:11 PM

My Top 5 Prediction (which I come close to agreeing with even though I don't post on CP much):

1. Hootie
2. GoChiefs
3. Rainman
4. Hamas Jenkins
5. Fax

it's gonna be ****ing hard ROFL

Hootie 05-22-2013 03:12 PM

I wanted to do someone else today but I felt like he belonged more towards 50-60 range...I felt like 99 would have been an injustice but I have really good insults lined up for this guy

To keep it going but if you look down the rep or post count lists, it really wouldn't be that hard. Most of the people in top 150 or so on those, post a shit ton on here.

Hootie 05-22-2013 03:16 PM

besides...the last 30 or so aren't even going to be funny because there are certain people I can't even insult

how am I going to insult Rain Man?

"oh he's so witty and clever...he never really goes out of his way to bash anyone and he still has an open mind about being sick and twisted. On second thought, he probably jerks off to Jesus."

Can't really go wrong with that pick. It follows the trend I've been talking about, but it's a bit more sensible than the Cephalic Trauma ranking. Here's a guy (CoMo) universally ridiculed for his terrible opinions by most of the site. The reason why he gets ranked at all is due to his infamy: no matter how terrible of a poster he may be, his influence on the site needs to be acknowledged on the list. I would have thought that influence is so huge that it would put him all the way into the 80s, but I can't really say there's anything wrong with tabbing him here at #99.

Grade: B+

So you ARE going to include yourself in the pool of candidates?

ChiefsCountry 05-22-2013 03:26 PM

This thread is like the all time parody thread for ChiefsPlanet. You have a little bit of everything in it.

OnTheWarpath15 05-22-2013 03:31 PM

SNR in the Mike Mayock role is a nice touch.
