Reminder that Sanchez only did what he did back in July because Volquez hit Donaldson on purpose first that game (and I'm still not sure why).

We went over this at the time, but I'm not going round and round for 200 more posts. The day before the Jays hit Cain and Moustakas. Buehrle hit Cain, and to that point he had 3 HBP the entire year... and I believe 2 of them were against the Royals. He's not exactly a wild thrower.
More importantly, they hit Moose and he didn't play in the next day's game. So yeah I thought hitting Donaldson was retaliation for that. Then we went round and round for 200 posts about how that's a horrible thing to do. Then all the Cards fans jumped in and said that's not baseball. Then I provided examples where this happens all the time... if you hit a guy and injure him, one of your players is going to get hit. And I even included an example where the Cards did it when Matt Holliday got busted up earlier this year.
I'm not offended that Syndergaard threw up and in, even though he basically said he was going to do it. If that's the way you want to play, that's fine. But you can't sit here and take the high road and say the Royals are the bad guys if they stand up for themselves.
