We went over this at the time, but I'm not going round and round for 200 more posts. The day before the Jays hit Cain and Moustakas. Buehrle hit Cain, and to that point he had 3 HBP the entire year... and I believe 2 of them were against the Royals. He's not exactly a wild thrower.

More importantly, they hit Moose and he didn't play in the next day's game. So yeah I thought hitting Donaldson was retaliation for that. Then we went round and round for 200 posts about how that's a horrible thing to do. Then all the Cards fans jumped in and said that's not baseball. Then I provided examples where this happens all the time... if you hit a guy and injure him, one of your players is going to get hit. And I even included an example where the Cards did it when Matt Holliday got busted up earlier this year.

I'm not offended that Syndergaard threw up and in, even though he basically said he was going to do it. If that's the way you want to play, that's fine. But you can't sit here and take the high road and say the Royals are the bad guys if they stand up for themselves.

Why not? is claiming that it's a benefit that the Royals got to see Familia, but doesn't think the Mets seeing Young for 3 innings the other night will help tomorrow night.

Exactly.

Cespedes can guarantee anything he wants, but his ass needs to start hitting instead of talking.

DaneMcCloud 10-30-2015 10:48 PM

Syndergaard is garbage. I hope he gets AIDS while fingering Times Square hookers tonight and tears his UCL.

**** him, his stupid hair and nickname with a lightening bolt and a dildo.

Having Young pitch won the game. Familia pitching had no effect on the outcome. Huge and obvious difference. Hence the free look. I didn't see any argument about someone saying it wouldn't help them but maybe I missed it. It could but it was necessary for us. Tonight wasn't.

Don't be ridiculous. Buehrle throws 80MPH, he's not trying to hit anybody with his FB. Just as nobody else on the Jays tried to hit anybody in that series until Sanchez did so in retaliation.

The fact that an unintentional HBP was the best reason anybody could come up with for the beanball in that spot says a lot, yeah.

I'm certainly not. I'm just saying the Royals weren't innocent in the Sanchez situation you cited.

He'd be just an average pitcher in the AL. Maybe a 6 on a scale of 10

TribalElder 10-30-2015 10:51 PM

It was a lack of Fabio pictures

1. The point that I and Mr. Tegu are making is that Familia pitched in a game he did not need to. That's what I mean by free look.

2. I never said it would not benefit the Mets, I said Young is smart enough and has started enough games to make adjustments. Relief pitchers are not really known for their adjustment making skills, they have 1 or 2 pitches and come at you how they come at you

Smoking that Crack the rest of those new York ****s do. How incompetent do you need to be to play for that team? Kid obviously knows nothing about nothing. Midwest rules, royals are in Missouri, and **** them.

I don't know how the unwritten rules work in the AL but in the NL if some pitcher says he's got a surprise for a hitter the next day and then elevates the first pitch to a first pitch hitter...........either your pitcher retaliates or you are not taking care of your guys. This would not go unanswered by any NL team.

Pick your spot and put a fastball in Wrights ribs.

It may be different in the AL.
