I don't necessarily disagree with you in a vacuum (well, I might when it comes to Edge - I don't think that's an immediate need). But I think we can address some of those other holes in later rounds. And I don't see any realistic path to doing so at RT. You give me Cedric Tillman and mid-tier veteran WR and I'm content, if not elated, with the WR room. And then, say, Zach Harrison or Ali Gaye in the 3rd to cover the rest of the DE group with Karlaftis, Omenihu and Danna (and maybe another late signing from the veteran DE pile) and we're fine there. But man, OT gets thin fast. |

Niang was a 3rd round pick who they've kept around despite his issues. They obviously see something in him. If the concern is injury, draft a backup swing or right tackle and put Niang out there to see if you're actually going to get a return on the already sunk investment. |

In your scenario, you're looking at replacing both LT AND RT, whether it's moving guys around, people switching positions, keeping Taylor at RT, or playing Thuney LT (can't believe I even had to mention it). If you put Taylor at LT and Niang or anybody else at RT, if Taylor gets injured you put in the 2nd guy. You're only changing one position, which for the offensive line is extremely important. |

But it's the offseason, so what the Heck, right? |

Cool. I'm up to speed now. You two may continue. I'll try to keep up. |

I just don't see any way to say drafting a RT at 31 is a good thing unless one of the LT prospects falls all the way down. And I just don't see the Chiefs pulling the trigger. I know people think the Chiefs would just draft a LT and move Taylor to RT but I just don't think they will. |
