if your shot bounces off the grandstands you probably deserve a terrible kick
always thought spieth would be dominated by the likes of mcilroy or Johnson I don't think that anymore--spieth competes plays smart and best short game/putter of this generation spieth said day before this tournament no one would dominate like tiger did--time will tell but he gets to double digits majors before age 30 I bet--if he doesn't get hurt or married |
I actually think Spieth burns out pretty early. He's not a very good ballstriker, he's one of the worst putters on tour inside fifteen feet, and he relies on dropping bombs, which is not a sustainable skill. His scrambling stats very close to the green and from more than 30 yards are extremely poor.
His one elite skill is his iron play. I'm actually amazed that he's won as often as he has. If he was a pitcher, he'd have an ERA of 2.25 and an xFIP of 4.4. |

Koepka is a really good all around player though. A lot of those guys had a "hope" somewhere in their game that they tend to have issues with.
If Adam Scott was a good putter he'd be a ****ing legend |

I'd say a guy like that maybe wins 10-12 times and gets a major, maybe two if he's lucky, but sometimes things click into place for someone for 6-12 months and they play above their heads and/or get lucky (Padraig Harrington, Mark O'Meara). I'd put the O/U on his career majors at 2.5 and take the under. ------------- And FWIW, scho, guys like Schwartzl, and Oosthuizen were never "The next big thing." |

Heading up to Nebraska in a couple weeks for 5 days here. Looks like a great couple tracks, anyone been there? |
Spieth will win the most majors out of this generation of players. Hes ice cold on sundays in tournaments minus the 2016 masters. Hes got a solid 20 years of competitive golf left in him. I bet he breaks 8 majors when once career is over.

Sad news out of the Feherty household...

My first born son is gone from me, dying from an overdose on his 29th birthday. Given David's own well-chronicled issues with substance abuse and mental health I can't say that his son's troubles are terribly surprising, but they are no less tragic. That fate shouldn't have to befall any parent.

Ugh, just ugh! Prayers sent..

Yeah, that's awful. Can't think of much worse than burying a child.

Steph Curry is going to play in a Web.com event. They say he's a scratch golfer. It's one thing playing practice rounds, and 6700 yard courses. It's another thing to play pro pin placements and green speed, for real. I think he'll shoot no lower than 76 (since it's a Par 70). If it's his home course that he plays every day, Iono maybe better. Zero chance he makes the cut, though.
