Cool. But unless you win the last game of the season, nobody gives a shit.

You're a Mets fan? I always knew you were a worthless twat. It makes sense now that you're from Queens.

I'm surprised someone hasn't bashed your face in with brass knuckles, a Queens specialty.

You must suck a mean cock.

NTTATWWT.

The fact that an unintentional HBP was the best reason anybody could come up with for the beanball in that spot says a lot, yeah.

I'm certainly not. I'm just saying the Royals weren't innocent in the Sanchez situation you cited.

That's not how it works. I don't care how much you say otherwise. You knock another team's player out, one of your guys is going to get hit. The Jays have done the same thing. I promise you. That's just not how professional baseball players play the game. If you don't like it, that's perfectly understandable. But pretending you're aghast because the Royals are the only team who has ever done that is silly.

1. The point that I and Mr. Tegu are making is that Familia pitched in a game he did not need to. That's what I mean by free look.

2. I never said it would not benefit the Mets, I said Young is smart enough and has started enough games to make adjustments. Relief pitchers are not really known for their adjustment making skills, they have 1 or 2 pitches and come at you how they come at you

Familia has made constant adjustments all year. I wouldn't have thrown him tonight strictly based on the 3 games in 3 nights aspect, but it was large that only 3 hitters faced him.

I could see if this happened 4-5 times in the game, but 1 pitch? C'mon now.

Spot on. It's part of baseball.

Uh, no. Don't really like the Mets at all to be honest.

We better celebrate the series win on their field Sunday. Then when we raise the flag next season on opening day they will get angry all over again.

I still can't believe Ventura's implosion. He pitched way better against a much better lineup not that long ago. Letting the pathetic Wright hit a HR was just awful.

Well, we'll find out soon enough

I agree with that. I just hate how the Royals get painted as some kind of dirty team when they do this. But that's what happens when you're on top, I guess. People want to chop you down.

Nobody's aghast. The Royals are not the only team in baseball ever to follow that old school bullshit either. But let's not ignore that the Royals threw the first beanball in that game and created a conflict where there was none before that. They aren't innocent.

There is definately some truth to that. Most of ours were retaliation. Ventura got carried away for sure. They did paint us as villains and again it's just part of the game. Unfortunately the team that retaliates usually gets the heat.

Which is why Sanchez got suspended for what he did in Toronto. He actually did retaliate.

I never said they were innocent at all. They aren't. At all. The Royals did not throw the first beanball though. The Jays threw two of them the day before. Whether it was intentional or not, it doesn't matter. You can't keep hitting a team, and you can't take out another team's player with a beanball and not expect retaliaton. Volquez's HBP should've been the end of it, but Sanchez chose to continue the conflict.

And that's fine, but you can't throw your hands up and act innocent when you do that... which is what the Blue Jays try to do. At least Syndergaard was honest today.

okcchief 10-30-2015 11:03 PM

I'm glad we have Young and Volquez going these next 2 games and Cueto and Ventura at home. The Mets are a good team, but I think we would have all signed to be in this spot before the series started. It's 2 really good teams and the one who wins will be deserving champions. No need to be butt hurt. The Royals fight to the end and we can be proud of them regardless. Unlike the dumpster fire across the lot.

DaneMcCloud 10-30-2015 11:06 PM

Is there anything more shitty in all of sports than a man throwing a ball 97mph at another man's head?
