@GaryBedore: Embiid as expected practiced full speed today
|
Kansas 7-foot freshman Joel Embiid is expected to return Tuesday night at Texas Tech.
Jayhawks coach Bill Self told ESPN that Embiid, who sat out Saturday's win over TCU, practiced full-speed on Sunday. "He should play on Tuesday," Self said. Embiid has been dealing with a nagging knee injury, and then suffered a back injury in the final minutes against West Virginia on Feb. 8. Self told ESPN an MRI "didn't come back with anything major." Embiid is averaging 10.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. He is considered the frontrunner to be taken first in June's NBA Draft -- if he elects to leave college after this season. Kansas is 19-6 and 10-2 in Big 12 play. http://m.espn.go.com/ncb/story?story...49&src=desktop |
Good deal. I know Tech isn't the cakewalk that TCU proved to be, but it's not paramount that he plays his regular minutes is it?

And honestly, if he's not capable of playing his regular minutes yet, he probably shouldn't be playing at all Tuesday. |

Doesn't sound like it. I'm sure he's fine if Self says so, but I just know how our NC hopes hang on his well-being so I'm a bit worried. |
Texas Tech has been on TV a lot. Good team won't be an easy game KU has a rough time in Lubbock. Dunno why Minnesota ever got rid of Tubby.

Thank god Orr won't be there to call Wiggins a piece of crap. I mean, no player would ever be able to handle such harassment and be able to shoot the basketball in the hoop. We really dodged a bullet on this one guys. Thank Marcus Smart
