As soon as Mike gets 2 million, Walt is dead.

Maybe they went in after the house was fumigated...

They showed insects moving around outside the tent during the cook, and the fumigation commencing after they left.

I thought Walt and Jesse went in after they were finished fumigating?

The one guy mentioned a nanny cam.

Guess I'll have to watch again...

No. As they left, they turned the fumigators on. Like others, I was surprised that they didn't pack the equipment up before starting to fumigate, especially the tent which would, theoretically, keep the fumigation from happening properly and block out the poison from entering the tented section inside the house where the lab was set up. It's mainly, though, just a stylistic flourish to show how "boss" Jesse and Walt have become. They don't do the dirty, grunt work.

The nanny cam was spotted by the guy, presumably, as they prepped the house for setting up the lab. Since they're B&E guys, they're likely good at spotting things like that.

Also, it's another step for Walt towards being the boss. Gus, if you'll recall, wasn't concerned with supreme purity for the meth. Gale talked Gus out of settling for like 98% purity, which brought Walt on-board in the first place.

Now Walt is sympathizing with Gus' treatment of Victor and isn't totally concerned with the purity of his product.

I never caught that either. Sure noticed Landry, though.

Holy hell, what an episode. The "not so" veiled threat to Jesse at the end was chilling.

I finally broke down and paid the friggin 5 bucks and watched episodes 2 & 3. it's been tough not coming in here! so....as soon as I saw the end of #3 I was like...WHAT?? so I immediately came in here....and you guys are talking about what I am not getting....

so refresh my memory. Vic did WHAT? and Gus did something to Vic? why was Jessie tripping at the end as Walt walked away. I may be like oh DUH when it comes clear....but as of right now I don't get it.

EDIT - OHHHH SHIIITTTTT! just remembered......BOXCUTTER!

frankotank 07-30-2012 07:57 PM

Simple answer: Jesse is tripping because Walt is justifying one of the most horrific things either of them, has ever witnessed in the brutal murder of Victor. Jesse isn't "bad.". He honors and respects life. One of the reasons he turned on Gus was When he saw how evil Gus could be with the killing of Victor. Up until that time, i think Jesse thought Gus was civilized and "good" as far as people can be in the meth world. So to now hear Walt justify that gives him pause.

Yeah, there's been some debate about it. But I took it as Walt realizes Jessie's getting really good at cooking and kind of casually sends the message "Just keep in mind what happened to the last guy who got too big for his britches." Jesse's reaction is what lead me to that conclusion, but I could see the Mike thing too, I guess.

(If you recall, Victor decided he's seen enough to cook by himself... eliminating the need for Walt. Didn't work out well for him.)
