Good luck.

I'm not expecting much out of May, but maybe Pimentel can become a decent reliever in the Leo Nunez mold (similar build).

Yeah, what's the rush? After all, where could a player with a OBP of over .450 possibly crack into this ****ing talent-laden lineup?

Moore is one stupid ****.

I expect him to hold his own... but look at how Gordon destroyed AAA. Where is that at now? It's taken less than a week and the wind is already out of everyone's sail on that.

Although I had very low expectations for Gordon at the start of this season, I'm definitely willing to see him play everyday for the remainder of the year. The problem with Alex is that most of the posters in this thread know the holes in his swing, but AAA pitchers cannot exploit them consistently enough. No such problem at the ML level.

I don't know enough about Kila to project if that's going to be a problem, though I understand the criticism of him is that he has a "long" (slow) swing. Maybe so.

But I know he's never received a legit shot, his stats are ****ing ridiculous, and Bloomquist, ****ing Willie Bloomquist, sees quite a few ABs on this team. And let's not even start talking about Kendall...

At some point, I have to assume that Kila has carnal knowledge of Moore or his wife.

i'm content with his D. maybe not his game calling.
but his offense is basically just a singles hitter. don't we have 7 other guys that do that right now.

buck, olivio, shit, a 55 year old brent mayne would be a step up on O right now.

WTF? Kendalls defense is NOT good. He may be a little better w/ passed balls but big deal.

Looking at defensive stats for catchers this year. There are only 15 catchers that ESPN recognizes as being qualified or everyday players.

Kendall is #9 in caught stealing %. Worse than Buck #8 and Olivo #2. Jason Kendall is dead last in fielding %.

In passed balls he is #8 w/ 4 passed balls...and really, theres no catchers w/ more than 7 passed balls in the first place so it's a marginal issue.

We need DM to keep kicking ass in the draft and let someone else handle the callup decisions and ML trades. I'd rather have half the people on this board.

Wind out of what sail? Nobody was expecting Gordon to be a star. He's going to be a productive bat. Something .265 w/ a decent amount of walks and 15-20 home runs. He's only had like 15 abs since being called up

The problem, though, is that his ABs look exactly the way they've always looked. Hard stuff inside ties him up and anything outside he rolls over and grounds to second base.

Exactly. It is if he has learned nothing in the minors this year. I just don't think Alex is ever going to get it.

But he's not going to learn shit when he's facing competition that doesn't challenge him. If he's going to make progress as a player, he'll need to make adjustments at the ML level.

It's been mentioned before, but a player isn't going to believe anything is wrong when he's dominating a league, as Gordon has done at AA and AAA.

I agree with this. It's time to shit or get off the pot with Alex and Kila. We need to find out about these guys, especially when we have alternatives coming behind them.

Demonpenz 07-29-2010 04:13 PM

I will say this for Kendell, we haven't had a dude that was a red ass professional in the clubhouse for awhile. Olivo Just seemed like a clown. It sucks I know if I was a coach I would want hard ass watching the players when I wasn't around. The manager shouldn't have to chew ass all the time, some of that comes from the red asses, and we haven't had that for awhile, the closest thing we had was Matt Stairs and he was played when the Clown the manager jumpin into the shower.
