People can report PM's so that they're posted in the mod forum intact (so that there's no question of whether it was edited for impact). There are also plugins out there that can give mods the power to log in as another user, though it's not anything that's installed on CP. There's no built-in way for mods to view PM's though.

Yeah, reported PM's. I forgot about those. Otherwise though, I think they should be untouchable.

Well, mods can change passwords directly - there's no need for all the email business. However, they can't SEE passwords, so there'd be no way to put it back afterward. So yes, they could get in and take a look, but it would be pretty obvious something was up if the user tried to log back in and couldn't.

Dane is a vicious, attacking, downright MEAN poster 90% of the time. He has said things that are so ridiculous (reerun breeder) that I'm 100% convinced my banning was 100% personal vendetta related.

There is no reason my posts were removed and I was subsequently banned for 2 years and Dane gets 1 day for filter evasion.
