Colon is the next hope at 2b. He did well in Omaha last year. Might hit around 280 and play better D than Getz.

See: Dumping all of his money into a video game company and losing it all.

Oops.

I know they were strong last season, how did they become world-beaters during the off season?

Meh my White Sox almost took the division last year. Detroit doesnt have a closer. Theyre good but not untouchable

David Lesky compares Tigers and Royals Roster going into 2013

http://pinetarpress.com/morning-coff...th-the-tigers/

Here's the summary, for details see link above.

"So the scoreboard shows the Tigers victorious in nine positions (1B, 2B, 3B, CF, RF, 1 starter, 2 starter, 3 starter, 4 starter), the Royals victorious in six (SS, LF, DH, 5 starter, closer, bullpen) and a push at catcher. The Tigers are better than the Royals, but the Royals do have some potential. A lot would have to happen for the Tigers to fall back to the Royals, so I would never predict it, but this shows there are some advantages the Royals have. It’s as close as its been in a long time."

Also, this means that if KC hadn't traded Myers, they almost certainly could have dumped all of Francoeur's contract on NY this week. Oops.

Is Rany not getting laid?

He still sucks, but that doesn't mean he isn't better than any option they have (or have tried to bring in).

Saying "outperformed" in this context is like... like... there are so many analogies that can be made here that I just can't do it justice...

C: Alex Avila vs. Salvador Perez

Fansy the Famous Bard 03-25-2013 09:33 AM

Alex Avila is a very good young catcher as well. He's had more success at the ML level than salvy has... So I can see where they might get that. We all know what Salvy can do if he stays healthy. Hopefully by the end of this year, there will be no question who the better catcher is.
