They are footPrint schools...who left to go to better football conferences at the expense of their basketball programs.

And you can't fault Kansas fans, basketball being better than football is all their school knows.

2 months of basketball season is almost completely irrelevant. The 1 and done rule makes the game something of a farce in many instances and the hand-checking rules are now making the actual gameplay even worse.

I enjoy college basketball a little bit less every year. There's no question that it's still a major sport, but for me, there's just so little of it that's actually worth watching.

I hope the folks in charge of college football don't go too crazy with the playoffs. If it becomes a 32 team tournament, the regular season will be devalued to the point that it will damage the product, IMO.

But hey, there's always next year right?

Schools with huge basketball followings = footprint schools.

Got it?

Yes...Colorado has a huge basketball following. Nailed it.

Kansas conference wins since Nov 7 2010: 1

Florida conference wins since Nov 7 2010: 13

Want to bet which team gets their next conference win soonest?

#1 play on SportsCenter's not top-10 plays of the year: the two Florida hacks blocking each other in the humiliation vs Georgia Southern. This one from the Florida State blowout was also mentioned:

Jim Boeheim does

Quote:

Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim works at a basketball school and is among the many coming to grips with the fact that, well, basketball doesn't matter when it comes to conference realignment.

He had this to say about the issue last week on Lexy:
"It's really that crazy. Driven by football. Football all the way. And it's ironic that basketball raises 90 percent of the money for the NCAA, and football's making all these decisions. It's amazing really when you think about it."
Yes, it's true the NCAA tournament makes gobs of cash, but the NCAA is staying out of the expansion issue. So leave it to football, the cash cow for its membership institutions, to be the root of all realignment.

Florida's worst season in 34 years would rank as Kansas's best season out of the last 4.

Muschamp has two things he needs to focus on in spring practice: 1, blocking guys from the other team instead of yours. 2, tackling guys from the other team instead of yours.

That's hilarious. Can you imagine Alabama moving to the AAC with Saban begging to stay in the SEC?

Jim Boeheim is one of the most accomplished coaches in history...and his objections were "duly noted".

Things he doesn't need to worry about:
1. Being one of the worst BCS-division teams in the country.
2. Buying new goalposts after his first conference win in years.
3.
