I have to work tomorrow at 6:30 so likely bed right after the game. :(

But I will be there with my parents/girlfriend and would gladly meet you before the game to meet another Planeteer. (no homo).......

I am the best looking, short/stocky guy in the house. Can't miss me. :D

Word, we're leaving our house in Surprise at 5:00 am tomorrow, so I'm in the same boat. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Back on topic, **** Getz.

I will just come over and chant KCUnited until someone looks like they understand what some crazy asshole is saying.

And yes, Getz is a turd store. Can anyone realistically tell me if Johnson has a shot in hell at playing 2b on a consistent basis for this team?

duncan_idaho 03-25-2013 02:58 PM

BTW, John Lamb update from the Star recently said he has been working 87-91 in his last two starts.

I know some were concerned about his velocity loss earlier this year (I was concerned enough to keep an eye on it). He's still a tick or two off where he normally worked before the 2011 Tommy John surgery, when he was consistently working 89-92.

Progress, though.

Greinke tonight for LA, he's being limited to 60 pitches.

Still faster than Bruce "Little League Fireballer" Chen

If there is one thing above all others that I absolutely cannot stand about Yost its his contstant shuffling of the lineup.

And Warren Spahn. ANd Charlie Hough. And Jamie Moyer. And Mike Cuellar. And dozens of other lefthanded pitchers who got outs because they were lefthanded and threw strikes.

Chen's strikeout rate last season, the culmination of an upward trend, was league-average.

Velocity is important, but it isn't everything. If it was, Todd van Poppel and Colt Griffin would have been perennial all-stars.
