I think what went down, is that the Chiefs like A. Smith, but wanted to wait and see the QBs at the combine. Then, when Geno had the day he had yesterday along with their interviews, the 9ers figured out we weren't in the running for A. Smith, so they leaked that rumor to garner interest from other teams.

All the feedback is that Geno merely didn't hurt his stock with the workouts. Only the CP's Geno-or-bust group classify Geno's combine results as "fantastic."

For the life of me I don't see any reason what so ever that a coach as in Coach Andy Reid who want's to throw the ball 45+ times a game goes after a QB that only thrives running the ball and PAP. ****ing stupid to get Alex Smith he doesn't advocate anything in his game as a passing attack QB. Game manager at best, he starts throwing it more than 25 times he is going get beat the **** up because he won't be able to handle the pressure.

**** ALEX SMITH

Did you actually watch the combine or are you relying on ESPN?

Outside of basically the entire NFL Network staff that was at the combine being wowed of course.

BossChief 02-25-2013 08:12 PM

So.

We lost all of those games so that we can clean house on a failed regime, only to trade for a quarterback that doesn't fit what Andy Reid likes to do on offense AT ALL and is basically Cassels twin brother? Why trade for Alex Smith at all, then? Just draft Geno and keep Cassel.

Andy Reid said he wants a quarterback that can go out and win the game for us, not just be a game manager. I'm not sold that this is the move these guys are gonna make to start their era of Chiefs Football when a guy just blew up the ****ing scouting combine and is basically a carbon copy of the guy Andy Reid spent the #2 overall pick in 1999 on.

It can't be.

Something just doesn't add up.

BossChief 02-25-2013 08:16 PM

Kurt Warner said he should be the top pick. Geno was "best in class" in every category except vertical jump...where he came in second.

He was the best thrower at the combine, too.

HOW THE **** CAN ANYONE SAY HE DIDN'T DISTANCE HIMSELF FROM THE FIELD?

Setsuna 02-25-2013 08:26 PM

I'll start it off.

Just heard B Albert on the radio. He wants to be a chief and doesnt make since to replace him with a guy whos not better than him plus he said he would love to see stephenson step up. Him and Allen just need to get smarter upstairs. He will not move to guard. Right now he honestly doesnt know if he will be back or not. He understands the regime has other things to focus on. Also he said he would take less money to be here. Its not about the money for him its about being the best left tackle in the NFL.

No, they lost all those games because Crennel was their coach. The rest was just everybody talking about it and trying to get it to mean something.
