Delete that Stanzi pic and you'll be on to something.

Now we know why Smith was forcing the ball to him vs San Fran. My guess is this has been a discussion and San Fran wanted to see what he had. We might have gotten more if he played half decent.

okcchief 08-19-2013 10:44 AM

After the other night I was ready to cut him. Don't know much about Jenkins, but it cant be any worse. Baldwin can't seperate and has shit hands.

Pablo 08-19-2013 10:44 AM

That's fine.

Maybe a change of scenery will do both of these guys well.

Probably not. Baldwin wasn't ever going to do shit here. He just didn't care.

Hopefully this works out like the Guthrie garbage swap did for the Royals.

Seriously. Just shut the **** up dude.

You've been here since the beginning of CP. Far longer than DJ's Left Nut. And I've never seen you post anything 1/10th as original or intelligent as him.

All you ever do is comment on mob mentality and accuse people of being crybabies, when you're obviously the biggest one on this ****ing forum.

Go the **** away.

Forcing it to him? What did he get? 3 targets with 1 of them being wide open and him dropping the ball?

Not sure if you can even count the pass Smith threw almost to the first row as a "target."

I need to pick up Baldwin in FF now.

Red Dawg 08-19-2013 10:45 AM

This trade means one thing. We are slow at wr. AJ makes us a little faster and SF wants a bigger body to block outside for Kap.

Can't be anymore dissapointed than I am in AJ.

I don't know about that.

It might be more frustrating to watch a 6'5" guy play like a 5'10" dude and get bumped around by corners 40 lbs. lighter.

You'll get your chance to see it.

@spotrac: #Chiefs send WR Jon Baldwin (2 yrs/$2.2M remaining) to #49ers for WR AJ Jenkins (3 yrs/$3.06M remaining) http://t.co/g3FFiEWY4p

If you get points for dropped passes then yes. By all means.

Speed isn't just about running fast straight ahead.

Jenkins is much quicker in and out of his cuts and can get into the intermediate zones better. If you have him run a drag route from the slot, for instance, he'll likely be able to get and keep his separation as he crosses the middle (with Smith hitting him on the rollout as he clears the interior linebacker).

Baldwin couldn't get that separation; the nickle CB could break right on him and stay with him all the way.

We can use his speed.

This. Its like people assume the only way to use fast WRs is to send them on flies every play.

Good choice of words. His hands were made of cement.

I like the trade. You can never have enough speed and if it works out all the better. Keeping Baldwin we have less speed with no hands that doesn't fit Andy's system. Can't hurt at this point.:hmmm:
