Trent said flat out yesterday that the competition in KC was weighted, yet the Miami situation is "fair" because he's a veteran that already knows 80% of the playbook.

Seems to me Trent has NO PROBLEM competing in a WEIGHTED competition, as long as the competition is weighted towards him.

Futhermore, Trent isn't being honest. He said that the starting job in Miami isn't guaranteed out of one side of his mouth, while saying out of the other side that he specifically sought out the Miami Dolphins because he was looking for a team that would ask him to be "the guy" and a "leader".

I thought the funniest part of the whole interview was Green trying to promote the idea that he was mislead because the trade didn't happen and that it's the Chiefs' fault.

I understand not throwing your new team under the bus, but christ he came off sounding like a moron. Shit, dude, it's business, and sometimes things take a little longer. Quitcherbitchin.

Of course Kietzman took the ball and ran with it. That was some of the most hilarious radio I've heard in a while.

It's sad to see him embarrassing himself this way. He definitely isn't the guy I always thought he was.

Looks like we are about to have the same old argument. I'll try to save us some time.

I actually think Trent is offended that the Chiefs didn't guarantee he would start here.

From one of the other 600 Trent threads:

If Trent wants to start he should show up to camp and preseason and be so damn good that the Chiefs have to start him- just like all the other players. Trent is reminiscient of an A-list actor who is used to smoking cigars and sipping brandy with the director and is now offended at the idea of auditioning for a part. Sorry, Trent, you're getting older and your last feature as a leading man was a box office bomb. I'm going to need you to read for the part.

I forget... what were his stats that year and what were his stats in that SuperBowl?

He needs to get over it and prove he can start! There is always someone younger and better trying to take your place. Welcome to professional sports Trent....

You are guaranted nothing in the NFL, unless your are a Manning or McNabb. Then the league will suck you off at a moments notice...

Ask Rodney Harrison?

Bash him all you want on that, but he has at least attented a superbowl and obtained some hardware....

Wasnt Carl part of the Eagles staff when DV took them to the superbowl?

Even McNabb isn't safe. The drama surrounding Green has been so intense, most people in KC aren't aware of the QB drama brewing in Philly...

McNabb? How dare you speak agianst the media darling of the NFL?

True, McNabb is on his way out, his injuries are to common and he is to unrealible to continue to build a franchise around....

I'm not bashing Green for getting hurt but I refuse to credit him with the Rams SuperBowl since he played no part in it. It is no accomplishment at all to simply be on a SuperBowl team if you aren't a contributing factor in that team's success.

Thats cool we have different views on it.... We dont know how much Green contributed behind the scenes and off the field.. We dont know the meetings, practices, film sessions, etc.. That he might or might not of attended..

But watching him last year help "The Great One" go 5-3 and so far what we read and hear about mentoring Brodie at times. I wouldnt be surprised if he didnt have some sort of contributing factor in the Rams Superbowl...

Just my thoughts...

So, it is assumed that Carl told Trent that the trade would go down by the draft? Ok, if that's the case, didn't the Dolphins and Chiefs have it narrowed down to a 4th round draft pick? At least, that was what the reports were saying around that time. Or am I not remembering right? If the Dolphins were going to give up their 4th and then went back on that, it's with them that Trent (and Trent supporters) should be pissed.
