I'm all for spending a good portion of our picks on linemen...in the 2nd-fifth round where they will have appropriate value for the position they play.

That's just as ignorant as drafting solely for need.

If you have a guard with a 100 grade and a DE with a 98 grade and you are picking the top five and you take the guard your entire family should be executed for the evolutionary security of the gene pool.

Yep, **** the BPA it's need time.

WR, LT, 3-Tech, QB, and RDE are it for me.

I don't think that CB, RB, or Safety warrant top five picks unless you are picking Barry Sanders or a Champ Bailey type freak (and Vontae Davis isn't that, IMO).

Um best player has general rules that you play by...you don't take interior offensive lineman with top 10 picks.

Oh and LBs are never worth top 10 picks either unless it's a 3-4 rusher which is like taking a DE.

If one is like Will Shields or John Hannah badass mothe****er in pads. I'd pull the trigger.

I think 8-10 is ok for an LB. I liked the Rivers pick by Cincy @ 9-10, for one.

I wouldn't worry to much, most teams aren't as OL obsessed as the Chiefs fan base is, and after that giant run in the 1st round last year most teams won't use a top pick on a OL 2 years in a row.

It's obvious to me that Tribal Warfare just doesn't understand what the draft is all about.

I love Keith Rivers but for him to be worth his pick he has to make 8 pro bowls he basically has to be Keith Bulluck or Derrick Brooks.

I wouldn't put it past him but he has to so significantly overperform nearly everyone else at his position.

Same here, I said if it's at another position pick him but if it's at OL like we've been discussing I'd grab him.

His argument is almost as bad as the one the other day...

"if you take a Qb and he sucks he's done you got nothing"

"atleast if your OT sucks you can move him to guard like Robert Gallery"

I swear I hate that argument with such a passion, it is the most fearful draft strategy I have ever heard.

Look at will Shields draft class, are you telling me he wouldn't validate a top 10 pick.?
