I agree there are the Richard Dawkins types that are self impressed and closed minded. There are however several who simply pursue the truth knowing it my yield unwanted results. They rely on evidence and repeatable results before forming opinions. They openly admit they are speaking to what they know now and the data available to them. On a side note Dawkins and Daniel Dennett proposed they should be called "brights" the proposal made fellow "Horseman" Hitchens cringe.
