Regardless of what extrapolations you want to take from this incident, two things are clear:

1) Charles should be getting more touches than Jones because he's a clearly superior player
2) Maurice Carthon is a ****ing tool.

Yep.

I'd love to see us make a play for Vick in the offseason but I doubt it happens.

We already have a QB that can't complete passes above 60%. Why would you want another?

Remember on MNF when we took ourselves out of FG range because we ran a sprint-draw play on two consecutive plays and lost a shit-ton of yards?

The O is predictable because Weis is allowing it to become predictable.

If JC is in the game, you can predict with 90% certainty that it's a draw or pitch.

That wasn't the case last year.

soooo, if Charles is in, the other team knows exactly what is going to happen....sooo, we want Charles in more??:D

I'd like to know why people think that Michael Vick is the answer to this team's problems.

Better than Cassel doesn't mean you are good enough.

This isn't your father's NFL.

ROFL

Yeah.

Look, Charles wants in the game. He wants the ball. He wants a big pay day. That's a real good thing. Carthon's a prick ... that's a bad thing. There isn't much more to this deal than that.

Now, you can choose to debate whether a player should nut it up and make the most of his opportunities or listen to the KC media construct a "big story" out of nothing atypical in the league, that's your choice. Personally, I have no interest in arguing over the amount of whining that takes place in the NFL. I'm not sure it's a measurable statistic.

I'd hate to see Charles play for Belichick ... damn, he'd probably go through a dozen crying towels a week.

Meanwhile, Charles will get his touches this year.

Are you saying either thing is true of Charles?

what I saw was a player who dominated the league at his position for 8 games and then was made a backup to a player with half his speed and half his yards per carry....

I'd honestly like to know what you think Charles had done to deserve this?

No ... I'm not comparing "players", Mr. the Talking Can.

I'm comparing the media's approach to the stories. Remember how everybody was talking about DJ last year being demoted ... along with Bowe? And how Haley was losing the team as a result?

To me, Vick looks much, much better than Cassel.

I havent been pleased with Weis' playcalling, but until Cassel sacks up and plays like starting QB, I will always blame him.

Guys, last year we were going to lose DJ and Bowe ... according to the local media, Haley had alienated both those guys to the point they might consider leaving football forever and start a day care business together.

Charles wants the ball. That's a good thing. None of this is worth the time to get upset about.

JFC first Petro and now Nick Wright...

Nah we can't talk about how the team is 2-0 with a real possibility of being 3-0 heading into their bye week...we have to stir shit.

Sports radio in K.C. is such a ****ing joke.

How someone like JC who is averaging over 6 yards a carry is playing second fiddle is beyond me.

I know everyone wants to win a Super Bowl yesterday, but you aren't doing it with Vick as your QB. We don't get to pass "Go" until we get a franchise QB.
