While in my early 20's, I dated a social worker that dealt with sexually abused teenage girls. The stories were horrifying and have stuck with me to this day. She only lasted about six months at that job because it was too difficult emotionally for her to deal with, even though she'd studied for seven years and had a graduate degree.

That subject is taboo, IMO. The lifetime of pain for victims of sexual abuse is not a laughing matter or something to joke about.
